BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team, 2QB, SuperFlex Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 10% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: After being unexpectedly thrown into the fire when Jimmy Garoppolo went down with an injury in Week 13, rookie Niners quarterback Brock Purdy responded well and completed 25 of 37 pass attempts for 210 yards and two TDs en route to a win over the Miami Dolphins.
With Garoppolo ruled out for the regular season, Purdy got the starting nod for San Francisco in Week 14 against the Tampa Bay Bucs. The rookie impressed once again, completing 16 of 21 passes for 185 yards and two TDs while picking up another TD on the ground in the Niners' blowout victory over the Bucs.
Purdy once again looked poised and in control of the Niners' offense against Tampa Bay. A two-yard rushing TD helped pad his fantasy stats a bit, but he's nonetheless averaged 18.5 fantasy points across the last two weeks.
While Purdy's play was big-time, there are some concerns with the rookie ahead of Week 15, as he picked up an oblique injury against the Bucs. He's scheduled for an MRI Monday, but the injury isn't believed to be serious.
Purdy and the Niners face a quick turnaround, as they will take on the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday Night Football. Assuming he's healthy, the Iowa State product is a very viable fantasy option in Two-QB & SuperFlex leagues against a Seattle squad that ranks just 21st in the NFL in Total Defense DVOA.
