Allen Lazard is a fantasy football waiver wire pickup option for wide receivers. Target him as a free agent add off waivers for Week 2 of the 2024 NFL season.

ANALYSIS: New York Jets wide receiver Allen Lazard was an afterthought coming into the season, as most expected Garrett Wilson, Mike Williams, and Malachi Corley to see most of the work at receiver. But don't underestimate Lazard's familiarity with Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
That familiarity paid off in the opener, as Lazard caught six of his nine targets for 89 yards and a pair of touchdowns, though the second score came after the team put Tyrod Taylor under center.

Overall, Lazard was one of just two Jets wide receivers to even be targeted in this one. If that trend continues, Lazard has sneaky fantasy value, though it would help if Rodgers can improve on the paltry 167 yards he had against the 49ers.
Add Lazard in 12-team PPR leagues based on his Week 1 usage, but expect the other Jets receivers to get in on the action as the season goes along.
