Kyle Larson survived a broken alternator belt, battery, and some less than ideal conditions in the final race in the Round Of 12. It was that battery change under caution which kept Larson on the lead lap. During the final stage, Larson could keep the No. 5 car building the speed and downforce needed to gain positions. Before anyone knew it, the Hendrick Motorsports Racing driver found himself in the lead after passing Denny Hamlin. In the final laps, Larson extended his lead further. He held off a very late surge by Tyler Reddick and William Byron to win by less than a second. His seventh win of the season gave him more than a 60-point cushion over Martin Truex Jr. heading into the Round Of 8 starting at Texas next week. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
