DraftKings CFB DFS Lineup Picks: Daily Fantasy College Football (9/18/21 Primetime)

Mike Marteny's DraftKings daily fantasy college football lineup picks for the prime time slate on 9/18/21. His CFB DFS lineup picks and DFS sleepers will help you win big.

Our Saturday prime time slate is a little bit bigger than in week 1. We don't have the top-five matchup that the opening week had, but we do have some intriguing matchups. All 16 teams are part of FBS, so there are more knowns than unknowns. We kick this off with South Carolina heading to Athens and Utah heading out to San Diego. LSU welcomes Central Michigan, back home for the first time since Hurricane Ida. Virginia heads down tobacco road to Chapel Hill. Utah State heads over to Colorado Springs.

Then it gets really interesting. Auburn heads up to White Out conditions in State College. Stanford heads to Nashville for the Nerd Bowl with Vanderbilt. We cap it off with Ole Miss hosting a scrappy Tulane team. This is going to be a fun one!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for DraftKings on 9/18/21. I’ll be providing multiple player suggestions for players at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option apiece at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CFB DFS Quarterbacks

Brennan Armstrong, Virginia ($8,400)

This North Carolina defense is solid, but it might not matter. Armstrong lit up another solid defense in Illinois. He probably wont throw for another five touchdowns here, but he could flirt with 400 yards again. Armstrong has a higher floor than the other high-priced options and we saw just how high the ceiling could be last week. There are a ton of tough matchups on this slate. Armstrong has one of the better ones.

Michael Pratt, Tulane ($7,000)

Oklahoma beat Pratt up in the opening game, but guess who was still standing tall with a chance to knock off the second-ranked Sooners in Norman? It was Pratt. Tulane came up just short, but Pratt played a fantastic game against an aggressive defense. He didn't make any mistakes despite being under pressure the entire game. Ole Miss is similarly aggressive, which means that Pratt could have himself another nice game. He did a great job of finding open receivers. In a game that promises to be high scoring, Pratt has great upside at a low price.

Haaziq Daniels, Air Force ($5,900)

Yeah, Daniels has only thrown 15 passes on the entire season and completed six of them. However, he has not thrown an interception and has four rushing touchdowns. He's basically a goal-line running back that gets direct snaps every play. The rushing yards and touchdown potential makes Daniels underpriced even if he doesn't throw a single pass.

Also consider: Matt Corral, Mississippi ($9,600); Max Johnson, LSU ($7,800); Tanner McKee, Stanford ($6,300)

DraftKings CFB DFS Running Backs

Brad Roberts, Air Force ($7,100)

Roberts is a cash game player's dream. He has 54 carries over the first two games. Daniels has been poaching touchdowns, but the amount of work that is coming Roberts' way is enough to lock him in for cash games. He's a solid GPP play as well. Volume indicates opportunities, and Roberts had plenty more than Daniels did against Navy.

Austin Jones, Stanford ($6,100)

It has been a miserable start for Jones, who has just 38 rushing yards on 19 carries through two games. However, he has caught six passes to help ease the pain. Why play him here? Vanderbilt's run defense has been a problem again this year. They have only allowed one touchdown on the ground, but they have allowed 5.5 yards per carry and 193 yards per game. We know what kind of talent Jones has. He should showcase some of it here.

Tank Bigsby, Auburn ($5,800)

If Auburn has any chance in this game, Bigsby will be the reason why. Penn State is allowing under 3 yards per carry this year, but Wisconsin did gain some headway when they kept pounding them. Auburn will need to do the same. We could see a big workload from Tank here, so I like him at this price despite the tough defense.

Greg Bell, San Diego State ($4,900)

Bell could be in for a huge workload, especially if Jordon Brookshire can't go. Utah's run defense is still very good, but the Aztecs are built to run and run a lot. Bell has picked up 286 yards through the first two games. The Aztecs do have a chance to pull the upset with the Utes coming down from the mountain. If they do, Bell will be a huge reason why. He's worth the risk at this price.

Also consider: Jerrion Ealy, Mississippi ($6,800); Lew Nichols III, Central Michigan ($5,300); Micah Bernard, Utah ($4,700); Re'Mahn Davis, Vanderbilt ($4,500)

DraftKings CFB DFS Wide Receivers

Kayshon Boutte, LSU ($8,800)

I'm nervous about paying this much for a guy in a game that might be a blowout, but Boutte has five touchdown receptions already. Even in half a game against McNeese State last weekend, he still put up 20.1 DraftKings points. Boutte is a must in cash games. You might be able to do better in a GPP, but if CMU manages to hang around, Boutte could break the slate like he did in week 1.

Josh Downs, North Carolina ($7,400)

Downs has 16 receptions through the first two games. No one else for the Tarheels has more than six. That kind of target domination is what we're looking for when paying up at wide receiver. Sam Howell may be struggling with his decision making at times, but Downs has been an easy decision. He will be here against the Hoos too.

Dontario Drummond, Mississippi ($5,900)

Drummond has 15 receptions for 284 yards through two games. He eclipsed 30 DraftKings points in each of the first two games for the Rebels and he's still this cheap. This is an oversight on the part of DraftKings. Drummond is a monster for this price point and should be used in all formats.

Parker Washington, Penn State ($4,300)

Washington hasn't found the end zone yet, but the ten receptions in two games shows that he is a big part of the offense. Sean Clifford is always going to limit his upside, as well Jahan Dotson. However, Washington is bound to start finding paydirt sooner or later. The price is right to take a chance on him in GPP formats.

Also consider: Jahan Dotson, Penn State ($7,100); Jonathan Mingo, Mississippi ($6,700); JaCorey Sullivan, Central Michigan ($5,000); Jelani Woods, Virginia ($3,400)
