Nolan Roth's League of Leagues (LoL) analysis and LCS/LEC DFS lineup picks for FanDuel, DraftKings on 8/14/21. He discusses the LCS/LEC LoL slates and his top targets.
Welcome to RotoBaller's coverage of League of Legends DFS for both FanDuel and DraftKings. Be on the lookout for coverage of the LPL, LCK, and LCS as well as we have some great analysts covering all LoL leagues for the playoffs. Today, I am focusing on the 2-game LCS/LEC slate with contests available on FanDuel and DraftKings.
We get a 2 game slate featuring one game from the LCS and one from the LEC. Both matchups are very close and it should be an exciting day of LoL. With it only being a 2 game slate I will only be providing analysis on one play per position and providing a secondary option.

- Mad Lions vs. G2 (-140)
- 100 Thieves (-120) vs. Evil Geniuses
Captain
Rekkles - G2: Rekkles is the most expensive player on the slate, but the way the pricing is, you should have no trouble affording him. Rekkles led the LEC in kills during the split and dominated the kill share for G2 at 32.6%. G2 went 2-0 against MAD this split and Rekkles went a combines 14-1-11 in the two games.
Secondary Option: Caps - G2
TOP
Impact- EG: It wouldn't shock me to see this series go to 5 games. EG looked really good in their series win against Dignitas last week and has been in better form the last few weeks of the summer split. Impact has GD10 and XPD10 numbers 0f 254 and 202 compared to his counterpart in Ssumday who is -29 and 129 respectively.
Secondary Option: Ssumday - 100T

JUNGLE
Jankos – G2: Jankos led G2 in kill participation during the split at 65.3%. Going up against Elyoya is not an easy matchup, but you will want to pair Jankos with some of the other G2 players in your lineups. Jankos was also second in kill share for G2
Secondary Option: Contractz - EG
MID
Caps - G2: Caps is a legend in the LEC, and the playoffs are when he tends to shine. In the second half of the split, Caps was a completely different player and really showed just how good he can be. In G2's two wins against MAD, this split Caps went 10-1-24.
Secondary Option: Jizuke - EG
ADC
Rekkles - G2: Rekkles is affordable as captain and has one of the top upsides on the slate.
Danny – EG: Going to give a little write-up here as Rekkles will likely be the captain in the majority of lineups. Danny led EG in kills during the summer split and is fresh off having a 76.6% kill participation in their 4 game series win against DIG.
SUPPORT
Mikyx- G2: Pairing up Mikyx with Rekkles is what I will be looking to do at the support position on this slate. Mikyx had a 67% counter pick rate during the split and Rekkles had 61%. G2 is happy to let the bot lane pick advantageous lane matchups.
Secondary Option: Ignar - EG
TEAM
G2/EG: This pick will simply come down to lineup construction. I would pick G2 over EG, but most of my lineups will feature 4 G2 players with 2 EG players and the EG team Slot.
Final Thoughts
I can make an argument for both sides of the 100T/EG series. My gut feel is that EG takes the series and with them being the lower seed, there is a chance we see lower ownership on that side. The same argument can be made for the MAD/G2 series however, I feel more confident that G2 take the win. Both matchups will be exciting to watch and it wouldn't shock me to see multiple game 5s.
