DraftKings Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (7/10/21): MLB DFS Lineups

Shohei Ohtani - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB Injury News

The top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on 7/10/21. Mike Marteny's MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

We've got a chopped up Saturday slate on tap for us. There's a turbo slate for the two-game matinee, an early slate for the six-game afternoon slate. I will concentrate on the six-game "main" slate in the evening. My friends at Rotoballer will have the earlier slates covered, so we've got your back for an entire day of baseball!

I never like to cross one entire game off of a smaller slate to begin with, but rain looks like it's going to be a problem at Wrigley and the wind is blowing in from right at 14 mph. This isn't good hitting weather no matter how you look at it. The best hitting weather will be in Houston if the roof is open. If not, the other five games will be about the same with the exception of some wind coming in in Milwaukee.

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on 7/10/2021. The lineup will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. You can also check out today's FanDuel MLB DFS lineup picks and read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports too. It’s also important to monitor injury news and today's MLB starting lineups. If you have any questions or comments, contact me on Twitter.

DraftKings DFS Starting Pitchers

Walker Buehler - ARI at LAD ($9,600)

Buehler hasn't allowed more than three runs in a start since May 11. His ERA reached a high point of 3.45 after that start against the Mariners. It is down nearly a full run in the two months since. Buehler has allowed only two runs in 14.1 innings to Arizona this season and the team is collectively hitting .138 against him in their careers with a 39.4% strikeout rate. I don't know how you get away from Buehler in cash games. His potential is plenty high enough for GPP usage as well.

German Marquez - COL at SD ($7,400)

If it weren't for two bad starts on the year, Marquez would be priced in five figures. He allowed eight runs to the Giants in May and nine runs (eight earned) in Cincy on June 12. In his other 16 starts, Marquez has allowed 24 runs combined. 11 of those 16 starts came in Coors Field, making that total all the more impressive. Getting pounded once in Cincy and once in Coors is understandable. He should be in for a nice start in a pitcher's park like San Diego.

Other Options: Freddy Peralta ($9,200), Patrick Sandoval ($8,400), Chris Flexen ($7,000)

DraftKings DFS Infielders

Luis Torrens - C, SEA vs. LAA ($3,400)

Catcher is a massive crapshoot tonight. Omar Narvaez is the best bet. He has hit everyone this year. Everyone but the Reds. He hasn't driven in a run in nine games against them this year. So I find myself chasing homers with Torrens. He has four homers in the last nine games and is hitting a homer every ten at-bats against lefties this year. It's an all-or-nothing play, but I have no problem with that in GPP's.

Shohei Ohtani - 1B/OF, LAA at SEA ($6,000)

Ohtani leads the majors with 33 homers and has hit nine of those in the last ten games. 16 of those 33 homers have come since June 15. This is a hot streak that we don't see very often. I'm going to keep playing him until he cools down. I don't really care who he faces or where he plays right now. Ohtani profiles well against every pitcher. He could be playing against Sandy Koufax at Forbes Field and I would still use him right now.

DJ LeMahieu - 2B/3B, NYY at HOU ($4,700)

Not a lot is going right for the Yankees right now, and I expect ownership to be high on Greinke in this one because of that. That's part of the reason to use LeMahieu here. He is 18-59(.305) with a homer, six runs scored, and eight RBI in his career against Greinke. Of course, it doesn't mean a lot if his teammates can't drive him in, but this has been going on long enough that it's not a fluke. LeMahieu ended June on a 13-game hitting streak and hasn't been shut out in DFS since June 9. He's getting us something tonight.

Justin Turner - 3B, LAD vs. ARI ($5,200)

Since we're on the subject of hot streaks, Turner is hitting .464 with two homers, five runs scored, and five RBI in seven July games. He has actually been a touch worse against lefties than righties this year, but he's still hitting .290 against southpaws with six homers in 107 at bats. Turner is a career .279 hitter against lefties, so considering the recent hot streak, I expect something good here.

J.P. Crawford - SS, SEA vs. LAA ($4,500)

Crawford is hitting .323 with three homers, 15 RBI, 22 runs scored, and two steals since June 1. Oh, and he is also hitting a robust .325 against left-handed pitching. I'm playing Crawford since few others will with him facing a lefty pitcher tonight. Lefties also have three homers against Patrick Sandoval in just 43 at bats. They aren't getting much for hits off of him, but when they do, they're going far.

DraftKings DFS Outfielders

Yordan Alvarez - OF, HOU vs. NYY ($5,500)

Gerrit Cole's spin rate is down and his ERA is up. That's not a coincidence. He has allowed nine earned runs in his last two starts, including four homers. I'm going after him, at least with Alvarez. Alvarez has only faced Cole once in his career. He homered off of him twice, and that was when Cole could still sticky-icky his fingers. Yordan is my favorite one-off even if you don't stack this.

A.J. Pollock - OF, LAD vs. ARI ($3,500)

Pollock has homered in back-to-back games and has four hits in those two games. He also has four of his ten homers on the season already in July. Caleb Smith has reverse splits throughout his career and the same is true this year, but eight of his nine homers allowed this season have come to righties as have all but eight of the 59 career homers he has served up. Righties may not hit Smith better, but they certainly hit him for more power.

Harrison Bader - OF, STL at CHI ($2,900)

Bader has two of his six homers on the season in July and has seven of his 16 RBI in just seven games. He is averaging right at 10 DraftKings points per game this month and he's facing Zach Davies. Davies hasn't been overly bad this year, but he has been prone to blow ups. I wouldn't predict that with the wind blowing in at Wrigley, but it is worth noting that Bader is 4-5 in his career against Davies with a double and a homer. I'll trust the hot bat, weather be damned.
