DraftKings CBB DFS Lineup Picks for 3/4/21 - Daily Fantasy College Basketball Advice

CBB DFS lineup picks DraftKings NCAA daily college fantasy basketball

Mike Marteny offers his DraftKings daily fantasy college basketball sleepers for 3/4/21. His CBB DFS lineup picks and sleepers will help you win on DraftKings.

I promised that I would be ramping up the college basketball coverage come March, and here we are! You'll be seeing a lot more from me. If the slate is relatively full like our seven-game offering here today, I'll be here! Oh, and when the NBA is off galavanting for a week wherever their wild hearts take them, I'll keep you busy with NCAA stuff! DFS doesn't stop just because of the NBA hiatus.

In college basketball it's perfectly fine to ignore slow-paced games or teams with tough matchups on a large slate like this. Choosing a couple of spots wisely has been the key this year. The only game topping the 150 threshold tonight is the Nebraska-Iowa tilt over in Iowa City. Five of the others are in the 140's including all of the Big 12(10) offerings on this one. The only full fade I have planned is for the ECU-UCF matchup, which only has an implied total of 134. Yuck!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 3/4/21. I’ll be providing multiple player suggestions for players at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option apiece at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CBB DFS Guards

Austin Reaves, Oklahoma ($8,900)

I've been saying this all year, but Reaves is so involved in whatever Oklahoma does on the offensive end of the court that he can't help but clear 30 DraftKings points. He hit 36.5 in the first meeting with Texas this year, but the Longhorns were a bit short-handed in that one. Texas is going to come out wanting to win this one, which ultimately should favor Reaves' DFS prospects even more. I have no interest in Cade Cunningham against Baylor's defense. The top choice at guard is easy for me tonight.

Joe Wieskamp, Iowa ($7,400)

You want some exposure to this game, but I'm not sure how much. I love the 151.5 implied total, but don't like the Iowa -17.5. If this game is indeed a blowout, you are essentially betting on which Iowa pieces make it that way. I would say that Luka Garza has the best overall matchup, but Iowa isn't just going to quit shooting from distance either. Part of me want to go with Iowa bench guards because they're going to shoot often once the game is deemed out of hand and they get in there. Another part or me thinks the Nebraska team that just beat Minnesota and blew out Rutgers might hang around longer than expected in this one. At any rate, Wieskamp looks cheap since we don't need a ceiling game from him to pay this price off.

Darin Green Jr., Central Florida ($5,700)

Okay, I know I said that I was fading this game, but Green is just too cheap. Green racked up 36 DraftKings points in the first meeting and has gone over 20 in each of the last three. For the record, I still think this game is going to go slightly over the total. Green is a bit of a risk since he needs to get hot shooting the ball to get anything of value. Green has nailed ten threes in the past three games. He's worth the risk at this price if you're gunning for a GPP takedown.

Kobe Webster, Nebraska ($4,300)

Among the key things I look at when hunting for value is minutes and opportunity. Webster has both right now. He has played at least 22 minutes in every game since Valentine's Day. Even when he went cold from the floor against Rutgers on Monday, he still played 26 minutes and put up a respectable 15.75 DraftKings points despite only scoring three actual points. He has a nice ceiling if the shots start falling and a good floor if they don't.

Also consider: Mark Wright IV, Colorado ($8,500); Davion Mitchell ($7,600); Mark Vital, Baylor ($5,800); Sean McNeil, West Virginia ($5,400)

DraftKings CBB DFS Forwards

Luka Garza, Iowa  ($9,800)

It's really remarkable how many minutes Garza keeps playing, even when games get out of hand. Iowa beat Ohio State by 16 on Sunday and Garza still played 38 minutes. He played 36 minutes in a game in which they beat Wisconsin by 15. The prospect of a blowout doesn't really worry me here. If Iowa runs off with this, it will likely be Garza's fault. Michigan is the only team to hold him under 40 DraftKings points in the last two weeks. If you're planning on paying up for anyone on this slate, it should be Garza.

Hunter Dickinson, Michigan ($7,000)

Sparty has had trouble up front for much of the season. If Isaiah Livers is out for Michigan, Dickinson will have a massive role in this game. I still like him if Livers plays, but I won't go out of my way to use him. The problem here is that Michigan looked completely awful against Illinois earlier this week. It was brutal. Part of that was Dickinson going 1-8 from the floor. That's all the more reason to use Dickinson. He's priced down because the Wolvies got rolled by Illinois. The upside is rather large for someone of this price.

Kai Jones, Texas ($5,800)

Jones was an absolute monster against Oklahoma the first time around. he put up 39.5 DraftKings points in that game. I'm not delusional. Jones isn't going to get that many minutes with Jericho Sims and Greg Brown around. Sims only played 10 minutes against Iowa State earlier this week thanks to fouling out in what felt like record time. The Oklahoma frontcourt is solid a drawing fouls as well, so I'm willing to roll the dice on Jones and Brown. However, if Sims can stay on the court, he is severely underpriced.

Jalen Bridges, West Virginia ($4,500)

The minutes have been inconsistent for Bridges, but he is efficient and consistent when on the court. I like the cheaper pieces of West Virginia here in what is a very good spot for them. Don't get me wrong, I'm not going to be the one to argue paying up for Miles McBride, but I will say that West Virginia is a well balanced unit. On teams like that, I find it best to go with the cheaper pieces since they have higher floors and about the same ceiling.

Also consider: Jayden Gardner, East Carolina ($8,300); Brady Manek, Oklahoma ($5,900); Jericho Sims, Texas ($4,400); Gabe Osabuohien, West Virginia ($3,800)
