Broncos wide receiver (WR) Tim Patrick is a fantasy football waiver wire pickup to target as a free agent addition for Week 12 of the 2020 NFL season.

ANALYSIS: Tim Patrick is rostered in one of each five Yahoo! leagues for a reason: he's got a good floor, but his ceiling isn't anything out of this world and at the end of the day he's playing under fluky-QB Drew Lock. That is why we have opted to recommend Patrick as a WW target only for 14+ team leagues. But if you happen to be part of one of those, you better be trying to get him.

Patrick is averaging 12.3 PPR points per game on the season, but that number is bumped down a bit by his first couple of performances of 2020 (6.9 and 4.4 PPR points). In his other (and last) seven games, Patrick is averaging a much nicer 14.1 PPG, which would be good for a borderline WR2/true WR3 through this season.
Although Patrick's numbers had gone down a bit starting in Week 7 and up to Week 10, he refound his best level this past Sunday posting an 8-5-119-0 line against Miami and registering his best receiving-yardage mark of the season. All of it translated to 16.9 PPR points, the second-best tally he's been able to reach in 2020.
If only for a single week, fantasy GMs part of leagues with at least 12 teams should consider streaming Patrick next weekend against New Orleans (18th against fantasy WRs). After that, though, Patrick should only remain an option for needy GMs in deeper formats as Denver will face a murderous row of defenses against wideouts.
