Eloy Jimenez Exits Early, Day-To-Day With Foot Soreness
4 years agoChicago White Sox outfielder Eloy Jimenez (foot) departed Thursday’s contest against Cleveland due to a sore right foot. Prior to his exit, Jimenez went 1-for-3 with a run scored and a pair of strikeouts, bringing his average on the season to .296. Adam Engel stepped into the lineup in his stead, and he would likely continue to man left field so long as Jimenez remains sidelined. With the playoffs around the corner, Chicago may opt to play it safe with their slugging outfielder, with his next chance to return coming Friday versus the Cubs and right-hander Yu Darvish, making him a tricky DFS selection even if he does suit up.
