Daily Fantasy Baseball Streamers - MLB Hitter, Pitcher Lineup Picks for Friday 8/14

Top daily fantasy baseball streamers and waiver wire adds for 2020 fantasy baseball on 8/14/20. Kipp Heisterman identifies hitters and starting pitchers (SP) to stream based on matchups for shallow and deep leagues.

Welcome to another edition of MLB Daily Fantasy Baseball Streamers! The season continues to roll along and we here at Rotoballer are there for all of your streaming needs.

RotoBaller has been dishing out streamer advice for years. We're always streamin and dreamin. Each day we'll publish some of the best streaming options to consider in your fantasy baseball daily league lineups. Streaming pitchers and position players to exploit a matchup are extremely important in fantasy baseball, especially in a truncated season like this one.

Since it is a Friday night slate, that means there will be plenty of action, and tonight we have 14 games to choose from. The best options on tonight's slate come from the Cubs, Nationals, Twins, Indians, Marlins, and Reds.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy baseball lineup tools and resources:

Shallow League Streamers (50% Rostered)

Tyler Chatwood (SP/RP, CHC) - 55% Rostered

I am a little hesitant to make this recommendation after Chatwood got ambushed by the Royals in his last start, but he has been so good aside from that to start the season that I want to go back to him in this spot. The Brewers have struggled mightily vs. right-handed pitching in 2020. They currently boast a 25.4% K rate vs. righties, which ranks sixth-worst in the league. They also are only posting a 97 wRC+, which ranks them 19th in the league. While there is a risk here as there is with almost any starting pitcher streamer, the strikeout upside and ability to keep the runs limited is here.

Howie Kendrick (1B/2B/3B, WAS) - 42% Rostered

Back to some Nats vs. another left-handed starter in Tommy Milone. While we didn't see the success we would have hoped for from them yesterday, Milone does not nearly have the stuff that Peterson had. Howie Kendrick has started the season on fire as noted by his .324/.375/.432 slash line. He has especially performed well vs. left-handed pitchers like Tommy Milone as he posted a .460 wOBA in 117 AB against southpaws in 2019. Milone has allowed 21 HR, 29 doubles, and a .267 BAA across facing 451 right-handed hitters since 2018.

Starlin Castro (2B/3B, WAS) - 45% Rostered

Castro in another right-handed bat for the Nationals that has shown solid success vs. left-handed pitching as noted in yesterday's article. In 2019, Castro posted a .374 wOBA and hit nine of his 22 bombs off of left-handed pitchers. So far in 2020, Castro has picked up where he left off by posting a .643 wOBA and batting .571 vs. southpaws.

Deeper League Streamers (25% Rostered)

Luis Arraez (2B/3B/OF, MIN) - 32% Rostered

While Arraez has started the season rather slowly, he has been very good against right-handed pitching in the past. In 2019, Arraez posted a .354 AVG and .386 wOBA with 18 doubles in 243 AB against them. It is only a matter of time before he gets it going again and it could come against Junis who has posted a 5.88 ERA and allowed nine HR to lefties in 2019.

Deepest League Streamers (10% Rostered)

Bradley Zimmer (OF, CLE) - 1% Rostered

This is more about Zimmer's opponent than Zimmer himself. Ivan Nova has been awful vs. left-handed hitters in his career and this has held especially true in the early goings of 2020 as he has posted a 5.08 FIP and one HR in just seven innings pitched. Zimmer has been better vs. righties as he is currently posting a .342 wOBA with a .395 OBP and one HR vs. them in 2020.

Corey Dickerson (OF/MIA) - 14% Rostered

Hitters from both sides of the plate have given Kyle Wright fits in 2020 as he has posted an overall ERA of 6.75 and a WHIP of 2.08. Corey Dickerson has made a habit of feasting on right-handed pitching as he has posted an .852 OPS with 22 of his 26 HR vs. righties since 2018.

Jesse Winker (OF, CIN) - 16% Rostered

It appears Chad Kuhl will be the starter for the Pirates and that makes Jesse Winker a solid play again today as he will likely be batting fifth in the lineup as he did yesterday vs. Williams.  He has posted an .887 OPS with 22 of his 24 HR vs. righties since 2018. In 2020, he has started hot and is currently posting an .956 OPS with two HR while going 11/35 against them. Kuhl, on the other hand, has struggled vs. left-handed hitters as he posted a 5.14 FIP in 2018 before missing all of 2019.
