DraftKings Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (7/28/20) - MLB DFS Lineups

The top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on 7/28/20. Brian Entrekin's MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

After a crazy Monday of MLB action on and off the field, we head into Tuesday for a nine-game slate. The Marlins and Orioles game has already been canceled and be prepared to bob and weave all season as the news will continue to come out and change the landscape of the daily slates. Make sure to listen to MLB DFS Quick Hits, read all of the awesome content at RotoBaller, and then jump in the Premium Slack Chat to build the best lineups for the daily action.

When looking at the slate there is a lot of bad pitching to attack. With so many options when it comes to hitters, playing the ownership game can be a very strong move. Finding the top pitchers may be harder than finding the best bats. The Royals and Tigers may be another wild offensive game while the Red Sox may just serve it up to the Mets yet again.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on 7/28/2020. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for sites like FanDuel, and other sports too. DraftKings DFS Starting Pitchers

Zach Davies - P, SD at SF ($8,000)

Davies has the fortune of facing the lowly San Francisco Giants offense tonight. Last season the Giants were one of the worst offenses in all of baseball vs RHP and that is not likely to change much in 2020. Davies is a pitch to contact pitcher with a strikeout rate below 18% in 2019. That may be a turn-off, but the Giants offense is that bad and if 2020 is close to 2019 then they should strikeout around 24% vs RHP. Davies also has the luxury of pitching in pitcher-friendly San Francisco. It is not the prettiest of plays, but there aren't too many of them tonight.

Josh Lindblom - P, MIL at PIT ($5,100)

Lindblom will be making his first MLB appearance since 2017 after spending the past two seasons in Korea. He was elite in his two seasons in the KBO and that allowed him this second chance in the bigs, this goes around with the Brewers. Lindblom will face a Pirates offense that does not scare many and he should be able to utilize his new pitch mix to get through 5+ innings and get the chance for the win. He’s quite the pitching punt for only $5,100.

Other Options: Walker Buehler (LAD @ HOU) $11,300- be careful with the rumor of only about 4 innings.

DraftKings DFS Infielders

Salvador Perez - C, KC at DET ($2,800)

Welcome back, Salvador Perez. After missing most of the 2019 season, Perez has picked up right where he left off as a staple in the Royals lineup. Perez hit a home run last night and now has hit safely in each of his first four games. He will be facing Rony Garcia, who will be making his major league debut and has not pitched past Double-A. In the minors, Garcia was a heavy fly-ball pitcher and that resulted in plenty of home runs. This could be a recipe for success for Perez and the Royals.

Other Options: Christian Vazquez (BOS vs NYM) $4,200

Pete Alonso - 1B, NYM at BOS ($5,500)

Big Meat Pete went deep on Monday night and he has another great matchup tonight in Boston. Alonso and the Mets will be facing the lefty Matt Hall who gave up over a 16% HR/FB last season with the Red Sox and a 21.9% HR/FB in Triple-A. Hall walks a lot of opponents while also serving up the long ball. Expect Pete to put another one over the Green Monster tonight.

Other Options: Colin Moran (PIT vs MIL) $3,000, Maikel Franco (KC @ DET) $2,200

Kíke Hernández - 2B, LAD at HOU  ($3,000)

Hernández has gotten off to a strong start this 2020 season, hitting safely in three of the first four games. He will face LHP Framber Valdez tonight and that means things are a go for playing Hernández. We know he hits LHP very well but you pair that with Valdez who was hit hard by LHH in 2019. LHH hit .291 with a .356 wOBA and a 32% HR/FB vs Valdez. Hernández is a nice, cheap piece of the Dodgers offense that should find success against Valdez and a depleted Astros bullpen.

Other Options: Keston Hiura (MIL @ PIT) $4,300, Kolten Wong (STL @ MIN) $3,600, Jose Peraza (BOS vs NYM) $2,600

Kyle Seager - 3B, SEA at LAA ($3,400)

Seager has started the season off with a bang, hitting safely in the first four games with four extra-base hits. Tonight he faces the lefty Patrick Sandoval who had reverse splits last season. LHH hit .308 with a .421 wOBA and a 37.5% HR/FB vs Sandoval in 2019. Seager was fine vs LHP last year as well with a .300 ISO and a .389 wOBA. Seager will go unowned tonight and makes for a strong GPP play.

Other Options: Justin Turner (LAD @ HOU) $4,900, J.D. Davis (NYM @ BOS) $4,400

Xander Bogaerts - SS, BOS vs NYM ($4,000)

Bogaerts heads into Tuesday night after hitting his first home run of the year on Monday. He has hit safely in three of his first four games and has another solid matchup tonight vs the lefty David Peterson. Peterson will be making his MLB debut, never pitching past Double-A. Bogaerts hit .291 with a .261 ISO vs LHP last season and will look to keep that going tonight.

Other Options: Fernando Tatis Jr. (SD @ SF) $4,600, Paul DeJong (STL @ MIN) $3,700

DraftKings DFS Outfielders

Joey Gallo - OF, TEX vs AZ ($4,100)

Gallo homered on Sunday and has a strong matchup vs Merrill Kelly tonight. Kelly struggled vs LHH last season allowing lefties to hit .274 with a .325 wOBA. As expected Gallo mashed LHP and RHP, but last season vs RHP had a .313 ISO and a 36.8% HR/FB. The major reason to target Gallo tonight is the price point alone. $4100 is just too cheap for a player of Gallo's status in this matchup.

Kevin Pillar - OF, BOS vs NYM ($3,300)

Pillar has a solid matchup vs a not so good LHP tonight and that screams value. So far this season Pillar has hit fifth vs LHP and that is a prime spot behind JD, Devers, and Xander. Pillar has produced very well in his first two games of the season, both vs LHP and for $3300 should be involved again tonight.

Other Options: J.D. Martinez (BOS vs NYM) $5,300, Jorge Soler (KC @ DET) $3,700, Lorenzo Cain (MIL @ PIT) $3,600

DraftKings DFS Stacks

Game Stack: Boston Red Sox vs. New York Mets  (David Peterson, LHP) and New York Mets at Boston Red Sox (Matt Hall, LHP)

Kansas City Royals at Detroit Tigers (Rony Garcia, RHP)
