Cameron Brate Limited Wednesday
Cameron Brate (calf) was limited in practice on Wednesday. Brate should be fine to play in Week 1 against the 49ers, but he'll be the backup pass-catching tight end to O.J. Howard. The 28-year-old has seen his receptions drop each of the last two years, and he finished the 2018 season with only 30 receptions for 289 yards and six touchdowns. Brate has had at least six scores each of the last three seasons, excelling as a red-zone target for quarterback Jameis Winston. However, he's much too touchdown-dependent and is a low-end TE2, at best.
