DraftKings Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (8/29/18): MLB DFS Lineups

As always, we have two slates on this Wednesday. There is a small early slate, but this article will focus around the larger, later slate. There are plenty of great options to be considered tonight, as well.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on 8/29/18. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

DraftKings DFS Starting Pitchers

CC Sabathia - P, vs CWS ($8,900)

Sabathia has looked outstanding this season, posting a 7-4 record with a 3.30 ERA through 23 starts. He has also posted an 8.2 K/9 through 125.1 innings. Sabathia has been a better pitcher at home, as well, where his ERA drops to 2.44. He gets a great matchup against the Chicago White Sox, who strikeout at one of the highest rates on the slate. Sabathia is a -247 favorite in a game set at 9.5 runs, as well.

Zack Godley - P, at SF ($8,600)

Godley has struggled in his last two starts, but he still owns a 4-1 record with a 3.79 ERA over his last 10 games (nine starts). He has flashed tremendous upside over that span, averaging 18.2 fantasy points per game over that span. He gets a solid matchup against the San Francisco Giants in one of the most pitcher friendly stadiums in the Majors. Godley is also a -115 favorite in a game set at 7.5 runs.

DraftKings DFS Infielders

Yonder Alonso - 1B, vs MIN ($4,500)

Alonso has surprisingly struggled at home this season, but Cleveland has featured an elite offense at home. That means Alonso should see plenty of RBI opportunities tonight. He has found plenty of success against right-handed pitching, recording 0.071 wOBA and 0.077 ISO differentials against righties. He gets a matchup against Kohl Stewart tonight, and Alonso is a safe option, who also comes with some upside.

Travis Shaw - 2B, at CIN ($4,500)

Shaw comes with power that most second basemen do not. He owns 26 home runs on the season, but he has also flashed consistency recently, scoring fantasy points in nine of his last 10 games. He has dominated right-handed pitching with 0.088 wOBA and 0.156 ISO differentials. He also gets a great matchup against Matt Harvey tonight.

Justin Turner - 3B, at TEX ($5,300)

Turner can always be considered against left-handed pitching. He possesses 0.09 wOBA and 0.081 ISO differentials against lefties, and he gets a good matchup against Mike Minor tonight. Turner has also been on fire over his last 10 games, posting a .378 average with a .667 slugging percentage and a 1.128 OPS over his last 10 games.

Eduardo Escobar - SS, at SF ($4,200)

Escobar is playing in a pitcher friendly stadium tonight, but he's hitting .308 with four extra-base hits (two home runs), two RBIs, and one steal over his last 10 games. He has also been a more consistent and a more powerful option against right-handed pitching, as he features 0.064 wOBA and 0.164 ISO differentials against righties.

DraftKings DFS Outfielders

Matt Kemp - OF, at TEX ($4,200)

Kemp has caught fire recently, hitting .333 with a .467 slugging percentage and a .911 OPS over his last 10 games. He also gets a great matchup against Mike Minor, and Kemp owns 0.025 wOBA and 0.061 ISO differentials against left-handed pitching. Furthermore, he's playing in one of the most hitter friendly stadiums in the MLB tonight.

Billy McKinney - OF, at BAL ($3,800)

McKinney continues to play at an elite level for the Toronto Blue Jays. Over his last 10 games, he's hitting .407 with an .852 slugging percentage and a 1.367 OPS. He also owns six extra-base hits (three home runs) and nine RBIs in those games. He gets a plus matchup against Alex Cobb in a hitter friendly stadium, and McKinney continues to be underpriced.
