Miami Marlins manager Don Mattingly said closer Kyle Barraclough will remain in the closer's role for now, but the manager admitted that he'll be "top-stepping" it in the dugout until Barraclough can fix his fastball command. Barraclough has mostly been solid for the Fish since taking over the ninth-inning duties, but he's faltered of late, allowing 10 hits (three homers) and 11 earned runs in his last five outings covering 4 1/3 innings. He's 0-2 with three blown saves in that time. His leash is shortening and Drew Steckenrider would likely be next in line for saves if Barraclough doesn't turn it around.
