FanDuel MLB DFS Lineup Picks (8/3/18): Daily Fantasy Baseball Advice

Tom Vecchio highlights the top FanDuel MLB DFS lineup picks for 8/3/18, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

We have a 14-game slate giving us plenty of options to pick from, along with no Coors Field, so ownership should be spread out. There are a few big name arms on the bump tonight, so you will be looking to have exposure to them in your lineups.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel on 8/3/18. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

You can also read more DFS lineup picks for DraftKings and other sports too. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to contact me up on Twitter @DFS_Tom.

FanDuel DFS Pitchers

Patrick Corbin – P, ARI vs SFG (FD - $9,800)

With a few high priced pitchers on the slate, Corbin comes in with the best matchup, but the lower strikeout upside. He is facing off against the Giants, who are seriously struggling right now, since the start of July, the Giants have a .109 team ISO vs LHP and a .298 team wOBA. Those are terrible numbers and you should feel fully confident with Corbin in your cash game lineups tonight. He comes in with six or more strikeouts in three of his last four games.

Jake Odorizzi - P, MIN vs KAN (FD - $7,000)

Odorizzi should be decently popular tonight due to his matchup and he isn't very expensive. He is facing off against a very, very weak Royals team, who come in with a team wOBA sitting at .296, which is third worst in the league. The Royals also have a team ISO of .138, which is fourth worst in the league, making them a non-threatening offensive team. He has five or more strikeouts in four of his last five starts while allowing two or fewer earned runs in three of those five starts.

FanDuel DFS Infielders

Logan Morrison - 1B, MIN vs KAN (FD - $2,500)

With several expensive pitchers on the slate, it's always nice to get some savings where you can. Morrison comes in with a modest .295 wOBA this season vs right-handed pitchers but has a powerful .211 ISO. That's some nice power upside for a guy this cheap and will come in with the platoon advantage today.

Travis Shaw - 2B, MIL vs COL (FD - $2,800)

Shaw is now playing over second base and is simply too cheap tonight considering his matchup. He comes in with a .380 wOBA and a very powerful .281 ISO vs right-handed pitchers this season. He also has a great matchup vs German Marquez, who is giving up 1.68 HR/9 to left-handed hitters this season. Great park factor and too cheap today.

Colin Moran - 3B, PIT vs STL (FD - $2,200)

Moran is nearly minimum salary today and comes in with a .332 wOBA vs right-handed pitchers this season. He is facing off against John Gant, who is giving up a whopping 59% hard contact to left-handed hitters this season. This presents plenty of power upside for Moran, who is very cheap today.

Jean Segura - SS, SEA vs TOR (FD - $3,500)

Segura is up against Ryan Borucki, who is giving up a 33% hard contact rate to right-handed hitters this season. He has a .343 wOBA and a .147 ISO vs left-handed pitchers this season, which are solid numbers, and should be viable in all formats. Could be a nice stack since the Mariners are so right-handed heavy.

FanDuel DFS Outfielders

Jon Jay - OF, ARI vs SFG (FD - $2,600)

Jay is up against Chris Stratton, who is giving up a .347 wOBA to left-handed hitters this season, along with 1.17 HR/9. Jay usually hits leadoff for the Diamondbacks, which should make him very valuable tonight, since they come in with an implied run total set at 4.90, which is third highest on the slate.

Nick Williams - OF, PHI vs MIA (FD - $2,500)

Love the savings on Williams today along with his power upside. He has a .339 wOBA and a very surprising .213 ISO vs right-handed pitchers this season. The Phillies come in with an implied run total set at 4.86, which should make them a nice GPP team tonight.
