Recent Update

6/15:Colorado Rockies right-hander German Marquez won after allowing one run on four hits and one walk with two strikeouts over five solid innings on Wednesday against the Pirates. The rookie threw 52 of his 83 pitches for strikes and now sits at 5-3 with a 4.19 ERA through his first 10 Major League starts. His FIP sits a little lower at 3.90, though each of his starts have been on one end of the extreme. He's now allowed two or fewer runs in seven outings and five or more in the other three. He clearly possesses some real upside and seems up to the task of pitching in Coors Field, but he'll likely be the first arm to be removed from the rotation when starter Tyler Anderson returns. And even if he makes it through that, starter Jon Gray's return would almost surely bounce him. Still, those in keeper/dynasty formats should be feeling good about his 2017 campaign thus far, and we'll likely see at least one more start out of him before Anderson comes back.--Nick Mariano - RotoBaller

  • @psaundersdp: German Marquez will start Monday for the #Rockies and Senzatela could be back on Tuesday. Rotation in flux as team tries to limit innings.
