FanDuel MLB DFS Lineup Picks (7/12/18): Daily Fantasy Baseball Advice

Tom Vecchio highlights the top FanDuel MLB DFS lineup picks for 7/12/18, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

We have a seven-game slate tonight, where there are three elite arms on the mound. Two of those elite pitchers, Severino and Kluber, are facing off against each other. The other ace is Scherzer, who is on the road the Mets. Smaller slate, but solid options across the board.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel on 7/12/18. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

FanDuel DFS Pitchers

Blake Snell - P, TAM @ MIN (FD - $10,500)

Is Snell the best pitching option on this slate? Well, that's tough to say when we have Scherzer, Severino, and Kluber all in action. But, over those three starters last four starts, NONE of them have put up double-digit strikeouts, while Snell has done so twice. You could say that is normal variance, but Snell still has a 33% strikeout rate vs lefties and a 27% strikeout rate vs righties. He has a great matchup vs the Twins who come in with a 24% strikeout rate vs LHP, which is fourth worst in the league.

Ross Stripling - P, LOS @ SDP (FD - $9,200)

In his last 11 starts, Stripling has allowed three or fewer earned runs 10 times, showing why he was named to the All-Star team today. He is up against the Padres, who have a 25.9% strikeout rate vs right-handed pitchers, which is second worst in the league. The Padres also have a team wOBA sitting at .286 vs right-handed pitchers, which is dead last in the league. Great park factor and great price on Stripling should make him viable for all formats.

FanDuel DFS Infielders

Steve Pearce - 1B, BOS vs TOR (FD - $3,500)

Pearce is up against his former team for the first time so if you want to buy into a bit of narrative street, then this is the spot. He comes in with a .419 wOBA and a .271 ISO vs left-handed pitchers this season. Pearce and the Sox are up against JA Happ, who has given up 20 earned runs in his last four starts.

Max Muncy - 2B, LOS @ SDP (FD - $4,400)

We all know Muncy has been a monster for a good portion of this first-half of the season, so why not roll with him in the last few games? He is facing off against Tyson Ross, who is giving up a .381 wOBA and 1.54 HR/9 to lefties this year. Muncy comes in with a massive .335 ISO vs right-handed pitchers, which should put him in a spot to hit one deep tonight.

Anthony Rendon - 3B, WAS @ NYM (FD - $3,900)

Rendon has some seriously good numbers vs lefties this season, .376 wOBA and a .240 ISO, but has struggled in his career vs Steven Matz. Rendon is 3-for-14 in his career, so hopefully, he can bring out his solid numbers this year and make an impact. More of a one off play in GPPs rather than a cash game option.

Brad Miller - SS, MIL @ PIT (FD - $2,500)

Miller is a cheaper option today which will help you get in some of the top pitching options. He comes in with a .335 wOBA and a .182 ISO vs right-handed pitchers this season. This isn't the best park factor, but he is up against Jameson Taillon, who is giving up 1.52 HR/9 to lefties while at home this season.

FanDuel DFS Outfielders

Starling Marte - OF, PIT vs MIL (FD - $3,900)

Marte is up against Wade Miley, who isn't a good pitcher and is making his first start off the DL. Marte has a massive .211 ISO vs left-handed pitchers this season and comes into this game with a seven-game hitting streak, where he has two home runs.

Nelson Cruz - OF, SEA @ LAA (FD - $3,700)

Always nice when you can find a player whose price randomly drops from one day to the next, which is the spot we find Cruz in today. Yes, it's only a minor drop, but Cruz has a .361 wOBA and a .242 ISO vs right-handed pitchers this season. Always like the home run upside on him, espcially when he is up against a pitcher, who is giving up 1.35 HR/9 to righties this seaosn.
