DraftDaily Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (5/4/18): MLB DFS Lineups

The top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftDaily on May 5, 2018. Justin Bales' MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

If you've never played on Draft Daily before, it is fairly similar to the other sites, but you tend to lose more points. Points are taken away for strikeouts and home runs allowed, but you also earn points for sacrifice flies. Before creating a lineup, make sure you look over the scoring system.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftDaily on 5/4/18. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

Give Draft Daily a try today to see the difference and join the excitement. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @BalesSJustin.

Draft Daily - DFS Starting Pitchers

J.A. Happ - P, at TB ($11,700)

Happ has looked outstanding early this season, recording a 4-1 record, 3.50 ERA, and 1.03 WHIP through six starts. He has struggled a bit with a 1.5 HR/9, but has also posted an elite 12.5 K/9. He gets a solid matchup against the Tampa Bay Rays, and Happ is a -159 favorite in a game set at only 8 runs. Tampa Bay features the lowest implied run total on the slate at only 3.6 runs.

German Marquez - P, at NYM ($6,200)

Marquez has predictively struggled at home this season, but he has thrown well on the road. Through three road starts, he features a 1-1 record, 1.59 ERA, and 1.24 WHIP. He is also yet to allow a home run on the road this season. Marquez comes with great strikeout upside, and New York features the highest strikeout per at-bat on the slate. Marquez is a small underdog in a game set at 8 runs, but he's cheap enough to be considered on this slate.

Draft Daily - DFS Infielders

Kurt Suzuki - C, vs SF ($3,800)

Suzuki has quietly been enjoying a great season, recording a .304 average with a .544 slugging percentage and a .791 slugging percentage through 24 games. He's also hitting well over .350 at home this season. Futhermore, Suzuki has posted a 47% hard-hit rate over the last 15 days. He isn't a cheap option any longer, but he does come with quite a bit of risk.

Brandon Belt - 1B, at ATL ($4,300)

Belt has caught fire over his last 10 games, hitting .333 over that span. He also has five extra-base hits and five RBIs over that span. He's a better hitter against right-handed pitching, and he gets a good matchup against Mike Foltynewicz tonight. Belt is an extremely consistent option, who also comes with solid upside. He can be considered in all leagues.

Jed Lowrie - 2B, vs BAL ($4,500)

Lowrie has been enjoying one of the best seasons in the MLB. He's hitting nearly .350 with a .614 slugging percentage and a 1.013 OPS through 31 games. He has 17 extra-base hits (eight home runs) and 30 RBIs. He has been playing at an elite level the entire season, and he can safely be used in all leagues tonight.

Eugenio Suarez - 3B, vs MIA ($4,700)

Suarez isn't necessarily the safest option on the slate, but he comes with tremendous upside. Over his last 10 games, he's hitting over .350 with an OPS north of 1.050. In those games, he has six extra-base hits (two home runs) and 15 RBIs. He has struggled at home, but Cincinnati has one of the most hitter friendly stadiums in the MLB. Suarez makes an elite option in tournaments tonight.

Didi Gregorius - SS, vs CLE ($5,000)

Gregorius is another player that has been enjoying a potentially MVP caliber season. He has been playing at an elite level in New York, recording an average over .400 with a slugging percentage nearing 1.000 and an OPS north of 1.500. He has a 39.1% home run rate at home, while recording 13 extra-base hits (nine home runs), 25 RBIs, and two steals in 16 games. He gets an elite matchup against Josh Tomlin. Gregorius isn't a cheap option, but he can safely be used in all leagues.

Draft Daily - DFS Outfielders

Aaron Judge - OF, vs CLE ($5,600)

Judge has looked outstanding at home this season, recording a .339 average with a .714 slugging percentage and a 1.214 OPS through 16 games. He has also recorded nine extra-base hits (six home runs), 15 RBIs, and one steal in those games. He gets an elite matchup against the Josh Tomlin, and Judge can safely be used in all leagues tonight.

Matt Joyce - OF, vs BAL ($3,100)

Joyce has struggled quite a bit this season, but he's an option that can be considered whenever he is facing off against right-handed pitching. He gets a great matchup against Andrew Cashner, and Joyce features 0.138 wOBA and 0.174 ISO differentials against right-handed pitching. He's expected to hit near the top of the A's lineup, making him a high upside option.
