Carolina Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis, who will turn 35 in March heading into his 13th NFL season, said he expects a reduced role in 2018. “This was a tough year for me dealing with a bunch of injuries that caused problems for me," Davis said. He managed to play in 15 games in 2017 and recorded 52 total tackles, down from 73 in 2016, and he managed 2.5 sacks.
