Justin Bales' top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for 7/4/17. Expert MLB DFS advice, sleepers & player recommendations for FanDuel and DraftKings.

Unlike most Tuesday's, tonight is broken down into two slates. Both slates are fairly sizable, and we will be able to attack each of them. This article will focus on a combination of the two. Happy Fourth of July!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DFS on 7/4/17. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

If you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @BalesSJustin.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider

Corey Kluber vs SD (DK - $12,600, FD - $12,000)

Kluber has been playing at an elite level recently, as he has a 2-0 record with a 0.38 ERA and a 13.5 K/9 over his last three games. He has been pitching deep into games, and he gets an elite matchup against the Padres tonight. Kluber has also been a better pitcher at home this season, and he's a -300 favorite in a game set at 8.5 runs. He can safely be used in all leagues.

Jameson Taillon at PHI (DK - $8,500, FD - $8,600)

Taillon has looked great on the road this season, as he has a 2-1 record, 2.70 ERA, and 8.7 K/9 through five starts. He gets a great matchup against the Phillies, although Taillon will be playing in a hitter friendly stadium. He's currently a -131 favorite in a game set at 8.5 runs, and Taillon is still a fairly cheap option today. He can be used in all leagues for his price tag.

DFS Infielders to Consider

Catcher (C)

Alex Avila vs SF (DK - $4,000, FD - $3,000)

Avila has been playing at an elite level at home this season, as he's hitting well over .350 in Detroit this season. He also enters the game with more consistency and power against right-handed pitching. He gets a good matchup against Matt Cain, and Avila is a great option in all leagues.

First Base (1B)

Justin Smoak at NYY (DK - $4,900, FD - $3,400)

Smoak was recently named to the All Star team, and for good reason. He's hitting over .300 with great power on the season, including over his last 10 games. He has been a better hitter on the road this season, and he will be playing in one of the most hitter friendly stadiums in the Majors today. He can safely be used in all leagues.

Second Base (2B)

Whit Merrifield at SEA (DK - $4,000, FD - $3,100)

Merrifield has been heating up a bit recently, as he has displayed good upside to go along with consistency over his last few games. He will be playing in a pitcher friendly stadium, but he gets a good matchup against Felix Hernandez tonight. Merrifield is leading off for the Royals, and he can be considered in all leagues tonight.

Shortstop (SS)

Zack Cozart at COL (DK - $4,300, FD - $3,900)

Cozart has been eased into the Reds lineup since returning from injury, as they have been giving him a few nights off. He did not play last night, and he's expected to be back in the lineup tonight. He gets an elite matchup against Kyle Freeland in Coors Field. Cozart is a high upside player that can be used in all leagues once he's announced as the starter.

Third Base (3B)

Travis Shaw vs BAL (DK - $4,400, FD - $3,800)

Shaw is another player that is dealing with an injury, but he has stated that he's going to play today. Shaw is a powerful player that comes with surprising speed, as well. Shaw has been a better hitter at home this season, and he gets a great matchup against Ubaldo Jimenez. Shaw does come with some injury concern, but he can be used in all leagues today.

DFS Outfielders to Consider

George Springer at ATL (DK - $4,700, FD - $4,200)

Springer has been playing extremely well recently, as he's hitting over .350 with tremendous power over his last 10 games. He brings plenty of speed to the table, as well. Springer is leading off for one of the best offenses in the MLB, and he gets a great matchup against Sean Newcomb. Springer has dominated left-handed pitching throughout his career, and he can be used in all leagues.

Matt Joyce vs CWS (DK - $3,500, FD - $2,700)

Joyce is hitting under .200 over his last 10 games, but he has an OBP over .300 during that span, as well. Furthermore, he has displayed good power, and he has proven to be a consistent player with tremendous upside. He gets a good matchup against James Shields, and Joyce can be used in all leagues.
