DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice - NBA DFS Lineup Picks for 12/10/15

By Keith Allison [CC-BY-SA-2.0 (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/2.0)], via Wikimedia Commons

Sam Nedimyer highlights the top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for 12/10/15. These are the top value and sleeper plays for your DraftKings NBA DFS lineups.

After a six game slate last week, we’re back to a short schedule on Thursday. Despite picking players from only four games, we do get the Sixers on the slate and a game that owns a projected point total of 215. Exploitation- here we come!

In this article, I will be providing you with Daily NBA picks for DraftKings for 12/10/15. The picks will range from some of the elite players, to mid-priced options, and value plays.

Without wasting anymore time, let's get down to it!

DraftKings DFS Point Guards

Rajon Rondo (vs NY, $8,500)

The point guard position looks pretty uninteresting as a whole on Thursday night. When going over the options at the slot, you’ll most likely want to roster Russell Westbrook. since he is the best overall player and has a favorable matchup against the Hawks. But Westbrook has been rather erratic in terms of fantasy point total since Durant’s return. Of course, giving Rondo a roster spot means that fantasy owners are taking a chance on him outperforming New York’s average against opposing point guards. The Knicks are stifling them to the ninth lowest fantasy point total in the association. Westbrook should outperform Rondo on the night, but expect more in terms of return value from the latter.

Jarrett Jack (vs PHI, $6,200)

Aaaaah, the Sixers. Now that’s a team I feel comfortable picking on. Jack is by no means a sure thing, but he has a wonderful matchup against the league’s worst team and is averaging 10 shots and 6.8 assists per game over his last six. Both the Nets and Sixers are the bottom feeders of East, so I’m not worried about the blowout potential.

DraftKings DFS Shooting Guards

Jimmy Butler (vs LAC, $7,500)

The fact that Butler is the most expensive two guard on the slate should tell you something. Not so much that it’s Jimmy Butler, but more so because of the price. Shooting guard looks really rough. But Butler has to be as close to an automatic play as possible in nearly every format. The dude hasn’t scored less than 14 points in a game since November 9th and for the season he is taking a career high 15 shots per game. Although he played 38 minutes in Wednesday night’s loss to Boston, Butler’s career averages on zero days of rest is right on par with his overall career averages. I’m not worried about fatigue here.

Ben McLemore (vs ATL, $3,700)

As much as I’d like to select Kyle Korver or J.J. Redick for value here, I’ll take a flier on McLemore so I can make more room for the big names below. In all honesty, I’m not in love with McLemore here and will probably go with Redick in cash games, but Young Sav does have a bit of an exploitable matchup against the Knicks. For starters, the Kings continue to play at the league’s second fastest pace with some injuries throughout the roster. That equation in itself oozes opportunity. Second, the Knicks are allowing the sixth-most fantasy points to opposing shooting guards on the season. Of course, McLemore has been rather erratic as of late, so he is best used in tournaments.

DraftKings DFS Small Forwards

Kevin Durant (vs ATL, $10,100)

Pay up here. KD has been crushing it since his return from injury and is seeing a usage rate north of thirty percent. This matchup with Atlanta is the highest projected point total of the night at 215 and KD is a big reason why.

Bojan Bogdanovic (vs PHI, $4,200)

Omri Casspi and the Bog sounds more like a campy ‘70s blues group more than two of the better value plays at the swing for Thursday night. But such is the state of DFS small forwards on DraftKings. Casspi comes in at $5,300 and has been playing well over the last week plus, but Bogdanovic will most likely play more minutes and have more usage in Brooklyn. Bog’s value makes him a sleeper pick against Philadelphia.

DraftKings DFS Power Forwards

DeMarcus Cousins (vs NY, $10,200)

Boogie, Boogie, Boogie can’t you see/Sometimes your price just hypnotizes me. I guess I could sub in “play” instead of price, but you get the point. Cousins is an absolute monster and has 60 fantasy point potential every night he steps on the court. He should destroy the Knicks on Thursday night, but I may fade just because he is rather erratic. I like the next guy more.

Thaddeus Young (vs PHI, $7,400)

I write about this guy every day it seems, but tonight I’m ready for him to really explode. The Sixers are a disaster and the frontcourt surrenders all sorts of production to opponents. Power forwards are at their best against Philadelphia as the team has given up the most fantasy points to the position. Thad has dropped a double-double in four of his last five games and played at least 31 minutes in six straight. In every format, Young is a tremendous play. Owners should find a way to fit him in their lineups at all costs.

DraftKings DFS Centers

Kosta Koufos (vs NY, $4,700)

Boy, I’d really love to fit in Pau Gasol here. That guy is just killing it as of late and doesn’t seem to be slowing down. However, with the names I’ve dropped above, my fake DraftKings budget is shrinking to look more and more like my real life budget. This will lead us to the Koufos pick. It’s almost like a punt play, but with a solid chance of some appealing upside. The injury to Willie Cauley-Stein opened the door for Koufos, but it’s actually Casspi that has taken over the minutes. Still, with his playing time somewhat shrinking, Koufos has scored at least 25 DraftKings fantasy points in five of his last six games.
