Scottie Scheffler The Easy Favorite at Travelers Championship
If the entire season hasn't proven that Scottie Scheffler is ready to win again, this week has the chance to bring it to fruition. He's coming off his fifth top-5 in his last seven starts, and needs a few more putts to fall to get him over the line. Though it's still a little strange that strokes gained off the tee paced his statistics last week at Shinnecock over his iron play. However, what ultimately thwarted his chances was the incredible number of lipouts and burnt edges on the greens. His 0.49 strokes gained putting average for the week even felt high, given what and how many birdie looks and par saves he missed. The world no. 1 is returning to TPC River Highlands this week to try and win the final remaining Signature Event of the season. Outside of the normal reasons as to why Scheffler won here in 2024 and continually plays well, he's also rolled the ball well on the greens, where he averaged 1.12 strokes gained putting last year. Like most weeks, he is an easy DFS recommendation.
