The Philadelphia 76ers are promoting assistant general manager Jameer Nelson to be the team's executive vice president of basketball operations. Nelson will serve as the No. 2 to the Sixers' new team president, Mike Gansey. Elton Brand will not return as general manager in Philly and is currently in a new role within the organization. Brand has served as the Sixers' general manager since 2018. As for Nelson, he's quickly rising through roles within the organization. He joined the team as a scout and is now the second most important person in the front office. The shakeup in the front office could be a sign of change in the ways things are done in Philly.--Andy Webb
