Zach's best MLB player prop bets for today (4/24/2026). Bet his home run props (HR props) and win money betting on MLB player props, including Yordan Alvarez, Miguel Vargas, and more.
Welcome Back, RotoBallers! Friday night features all 30 teams in Major League Baseball on the schedule, with some big series between teams with playoff aspirations. Big series set up some big matchups, and hopefully, we can find some big flies in today's home run props.
I have five players, including one longshot bet for today! We usually only need to hit one HR prop to break even on the night, so any night that we can cash multiple bets is going to be a winning night. Let's dive in and cash some homers!
Below, you'll read about my favorite home run props from MLB games on Friday, April 24, 2026. All odds are based on what was available at the time of publishing, so make sure to shop around and see if you can find better odds on other books throughout the day. Now let's get to the picks, already!
MLB Prop Bets - Today's Home Run Prop Picks (4/24/2026)
Yordan Alvarez OVER 0.5 Home Runs (+251 DraftKings)
Alvarez is on a tear right now, and we've seen him carry his team's offense when he gets on a heater like this one. He's in a good spot at home in a big game against the visiting Yankees, and he has shown the ability to come up huge in big spots like this one. Normally, I stay away from home run odds under +300, but this spot feels so good for Yordan that I'm ok making the exception. Don't worry, though, options with longer odds are coming later in this post.
The 28-year-old lefty is hitting .347 with a MLB-leading 11 homers this season. He has a .432 ISO, a .551 xwOBA, and a 21.1% Barrel%. Alvarez comes into this series with a nine-game hitting streak, going 15-for-39 (.385) with four doubles and five homers, including this smash on Wednesday in his most recent game.

Alvarez comes home to take on Will Warren of the Yankees on Friday night. Warren has been solid this season with a 2.49 ERA and 3.07 FIP, but he has still given up hard contact and three homers. Left-handed hitters like Alvarez have hit all three of those homers as part of their .311 wOBA and .407 SLG against Warren this season. Throughout his career, Warren has had more issues with lefties than righties, especially when facing them on the road.
With Alvarez so locked in and in a matchup that favors left-handed hitters, look for Air Yordan to go yard on Friday night in one of the home run props I'm most confident in this evening.
Miguel Vargas OVER 0.5 Home Runs (+475 theScoreBet)
For some longer odds, Vargas is one of my top plays as he and the White Sox come home from their road trip and welcome in the Nationals on Friday night. Rate Field looks like it will be a favorable home run environment with the wind blowing out and temps in the 60s, and with a pair of hittable starting pitchers, there are lots of props to consider on both sides of this one.
While Munetaka Murakami has deservedly gotten a lot of attention for his power surge, Vargas has also been crushing the ball from the heart of the order. Four of his five homers have come in the last week, and he has a 51.9% HardHit% and 22.2% Barrel% over his last seven games. He has multiple hard-hit batted ball events in six of those seven games and had a pair of barrels on Thursday, even though his three-game home run streak came to an end.

Vargas is still only hitting .195 on the season, but his power has picked up enough to back him in this matchup against Miles Mikolas, who pitches to contact and has been smashed by righties this year. Mikolas has a 9.15 ERA, 7.12 FIP, and a 11% Barrel% against him on the season. He has served up six homers in just 19 2/3 innings, and righties have hit four of those homers.
The White Sox offense started heating up on their six-game road trip, scoring 44 runs in six games, and Vargas has been a huge part of that surge. Last year, 14 of his 16 homers came against righties, and he should be in a good spot to keep mashing this Friday.
