The Minnesota Twins agreed to "mutually" part ways with president of baseball and business operations Derek Falvey on Friday, according to Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press. The move comes after the Twins fired manager Rocco Baldelli following the completion of the 2025 season. It's a surprising decision for the organization, especially with only a few weeks until spring training begins. Falvey had been with the Twins organization for nine years and was named president of baseball operations in 2019. For the time being, general manager Jeremy Zoll will lead baseball operations for the Twins, with Tom Pohlad leading business operations. Under Falvey, the Twins won three American League Central division titles and made the playoffs four times. Minnesota has missed the postseason each of the last two seasons and had a massive trade-deadline sell-off last summer.--Keith Hernandez
