Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks

Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 15:

Jayden Higgins, WR, Houston Astros

Houston Texans rookie wide receiver Jayden Higgins posted a modest game in his team's Week 14 win over the Kansas City Chiefs, recording three catches for 34 yards on five targets.

Still, the 22-year-old has established himself as the clear WR2 in Houston alongside Nico Collins, as he's earned at least five targets in five consecutive games and six out of his last seven contests. For the season overall, Higgins has hauled in 35 catches for 393 yards and four touchdowns on 55 targets across 13 games.

With Houston's offense playing better football in recent weeks and its stellar defense consistently providing short fields, Higgins could be on the verge of a breakout game. Higgins profiles as a must-add wide receiver with a stable production floor heading into his Week 15 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals.

Jordan Addison, WR, Minnesota Vikings

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison (achilles) was limited in Wednesday's practice as they prepare to face the Dallas Cowboys. Addison was able to play and finish last week's game against the Washington Commanders, where he had 62 yards on four receptions.

The third-year receiver has regressed in 2025, due to lackluster quarterback play, as he's hauled in 37 of 70 targets for 510 yards and three touchdowns in 10 games. He faces a fantastic matchup in Week 15 against the Cowboys, who have allowed the most fantasy points to wide receivers this season.

While examining the practice reports for Thursday and Friday will be important, if this Achilles issue is a non-factor, Addison offers a starting value in Week 15.

Justin Jefferson, WR, Minnesota Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings scored a thorough 31-0 victory against the Washington Commanders on Sunday, but star wide receiver Justin Jefferson finished the day with only two catches on four targets for 11 yards.

Unfortunately for fantasy managers, Jefferson was hampered by something completely unexpected this week: The Vikings were ahead by so much that the team leaned on the running attack and took Jefferson out of the game in the fourth quarter. Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy threw no interceptions and tossed three touchdown passes, but all three were to tight ends.

It was yet another letdown for fantasy managers who roster Jefferson, though Sunday certainly gave some hope that Minnesota's offense can actually move the ball again. The superstar receiver will put managers in a bind next week, as he'll take a continued slump into a great matchup against a struggling Dallas defense.

George Pickens, WR, Dallas Cowboys

Senior news writer Kevin Patra of NFL.com reported Tuesday morning that Dallas Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer spoke with wide receiver George Pickens about what most reporters and analysts considered a "lack of effort from Pickens" in the Cowboys' Week 14 matchup against the Detroit Lions. Schottenheimer said he "wasn't making a mountain out of a mole hill." In other words, Schottenheimer is not worried about Pickens' "lack of effort" and wants them both to move on to Week 15.

For those who may have missed it, Pickens was the talk of the town come Friday morning, as many reporters and analysts noticed Pickens' lack of effort on a handful of plays in the nationally televised Thursday Night Football game, which was pivotal for both teams to win based on the NFC standings. Overall, it's excellent that Schottenheimer and Pickens were able to talk about it and move on. Pickens has been phenomenal this season and is likely on many fantasy football teams' playoff rosters. For the season, he has 1,179 receiving yards and eight touchdowns on 78 receptions.

He has been a top-five wide receiver all season, and the Cowboys are right in the thick of things in the NFL playoff picture, so they are going to need their star wideout at the top of his game. Additionally, Pickens is a lineup lock in your fantasy rosters.

Romeo Doubs, WR, Green Bay Packers

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs' recent downturn over the last four games has coincided with Christian Watson's ascension in the Packers' offense as the top target. Doubs continues to run routes at a fairly solid clip, with over 72% routes per dropback in the last four games.

Despite that, Doubs has just 10 receptions and 101 yards in his previous four games combined. In Week 14 against the Bears, Doubs posted his worst full-game performance of the season, with just two catchless targets.

Doubs had some trust in the middle of the season when tight end Tucker Kraft went down with his season-ending injury, but since Watson's return, Doubs has been largely irrelevant for fantasy football. In a tough Week 15 matchup in Denver against the Broncos, Doubs is a desperation flex play at best.
