Washington Capitals forward Pierre-Luc Dubois (lower body) is facing a lengthy absence. On Monday, Capitals head coach Spencer Carbery told reporters that Dubois is going to miss "an extended period of time." The 27-year-old was initially labeled as day-to-day after he suffered a lower-body injury in Friday's loss to the New York Islanders. Dubois also missed time earlier in the season and has appeared in only six games. Despite being a top-six piece and a regular on the power play, Dubois has yet to register any points. Going forward, Connor McMichael is expected to operate as the second-line center, but he's also been largely ineffective this season, picking up only four points (one goal, three assists) in 12 games.--Taavi Pailk
