When Will Omarion Hampton Return and Be Back? Fantasy Football Injury Update for Week 10 (2025)

Omarion Hampton - Fantasy Football Rankings, Rookie RB Draft Sleepers

When will Omarion Hampton return and play? Will Omarion Hampton be back again this season? Read the latest Omarion Hampton injury updates and return date for Week 10 (2025).

Los Angeles Chargers rookie running back Omarion Hampton (ankle) has been on the injured reserve since suffering an ankle injury during their Week 5 loss to the Washington Commanders.

With his return date slowly approaching, will the breakout rookie return and make an impact during the season?

Let's take a look at the latest injury update and analyze the rest of the season fantasy football outlook. Let's dive in.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Omarion Hampton Injury Update

While Hampton could technically return as soon as possible, as he has already missed the minimum four games on the injured reserve, the former first-round pick does not appear to be training towards a return. In fact, his return may continue to be pushed back.

Last weekend, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reported that Hampton was still seen wearing a walking boot following their victory over the Minnesota Vikings. While this does not rule him out for the remainder of the season, managers should not expect him to return to action anytime soon, given his current status in a walking boot.

Omarion Hampton Fantasy Football Outlook

Given this update, Hampton remains a priority stash candidate, but he has seen his fantasy stock drop considerably over the past few weeks. While he was only projected to miss four games, he is now on track to miss another game in Week 10 and has no return date in sight. Given that he has yet to step on the practice field, managers should not expect him to return for at least the next few weeks.

While Hampton has been sidelined, Kimani Vidal has served as the lead back and flashed elite upside at times. In two of his games as a starter, Vidal eclipsed 19.0 PPR points. However, in the other two, he fell under 8.0 PPR points per game. However, Vidal has logged at least 67% of the snaps in each of these four games and remains the primary workhorse going forward.

If Hampton were to see his injury linger, the Chargers could even look to bolster their RB room via the trade market ahead of the trade deadline. Hampton remains a must-stash candidate, but given his current status, he may not see the field until late in the regular season.
