Week 6 FLEX Rankings Outlooks
Xavier Worthy, Kansas City Chiefs
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy will face the Detroit Lions on Sunday night in Week 6. Worthy was listed as a DNP on Thursday after practicing in full on Wednesday, leaving his status for the weekend in doubt heading into Friday. The young receiver then logged a full practice on Friday and does not have an injury designation for Sunday night's game.
Worthy had six catches for 42 yards in last week's 28-31 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. The speedster led the team in targets but finished fourth in yardage, averaging just 7.0 yards per reception. Worthy has been battling shoulder and ankle injuries, but has still been the team's WR1 in the absence of Rashee Rice.
With Rice still suspended until Week 7, Worthy should lead the team in targets against Detroit. The Lions have scored the most points in the league this season, and the Chiefs will need to score often to keep up. In a game with a 52.5 O/U, Worthy should have plenty of opportunities to score fantasy points. Worthy is ranked WR11 in our RotoBaller Half-PPR rankings, making him an WR1 this week.
Chris Olave, New Orleans Saints
New Orleans Saints wide receiver Chris Olave recorded a team-high seven receptions on 11 targets in the Week 5 win over the Giants, turning them into 59 yards, a surprising season high. He has only found the end zone once through five contests, but his target volume keeps him involved.
Olave faces a Patriots defense that allows 242.2 passing yards per game, ranking 26th in the league. Starting Patriots' cornerback Christian Gonzalez is questionable, and if he sits, Olave has a clear path to a heavy workload. He ranks as a WR2 with upside in Week 6.
Ryan Flournoy, Dallas Cowboys
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Ryan Flournoy splashed onto the scene in Week 5, seeing a team-high nine targets and hauling in six of them for 114 yards against the New York Jets. The production was a career high for the second-year receiver out of Southeast Missouri State. With star wideout CeeDee Lamb (ankle) still not practicing on Thursday, Flourney becomes a longshot option for fantasy managers in Week 6 against the Carolina Panthers.
In deeper leagues with multiple flex spots, he is worth a roster spot this week to see if he can continue to see some opportunities in the passing game; however, once CeeDee Lamb returns, he could likely go back to the waiver wire, as quarterback Dak Prescott will likely continue to lean on his other playmakers like Jake Ferguson and George Pickens over Flournoy.
