Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 6:
Quentin Johnston, WR, Chargers
After an explosive start to the 2025 season, Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Quentin Johnston regressed in the team's 27-10 loss to the Washington Commanders. He caught all four of his targets for 40 yards but lost a crucial fumble that shifted the momentum of the game in the second quarter.
The performance could have been even better, as a holding penalty nullified a 20-yard first-down catch. While Johnston remains heavily involved, issues with the offensive line limited his big-play potential throughout the game.
Johnston has the chance to bounce back in Week 6 when the Chargers face a struggling Miami Dolphins defense. That's if Herbert gets enough time to throw deep.
Hassan Haskins, RB, Chargers
With both running backs Omarion Hampton (ankle) and Najee Harris (Achilles) on Injured Reserve, Los Angeles Chargers RB Hassan Haskins is the "next man up," writes Daniel Popper of The Athletic. For his career, Haskins has 195 rushing yards with a 3.0 yards-per-carry average.
Behind him, the Bolts have Kimani Vidal and Amar Johnson on the practice squad. Vidal has been elevated from the practice squad for the last two games and had an equal amount of offensive snaps as Haskins on Sunday in the loss to the Washington Commanders. In addition to the team's RB depth being thinned out, the Chargers have also dealt with injuries to key players along their offensive line.
It could be tough sledding on the ground for L.A. moving forward, with Haskins and Vidal potentially splitting the workload down the middle. Both RBs are worth picking up off the waiver wire if you have Hampton or need a bye-week replacement.
Stefon Diggs, WR, Patriots
New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs made an enormous impression with his 10 catches and 146 yards on Sunday Night Football. The veteran receiver was able to get revenge on his old team, the Buffalo Bills, while turning in the best game yet with his new team.
The 31-year-old has been everything the Patriots could have asked for (and more), making a variety of toe-drag plays and catches while being covered by a defender. He has 16 catches and 247 yards over his last two games, putting him firmly in the mid-range WR2 mix for Week 6 against the New Orleans Saints.
Rachaad White, RB, Buccaneers
Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Rachaad White took full advantage of his opportunity to be the team's RB1 in Week 5 with Bucky Irving (shoulder, foot) sidelined by injury.
White recorded 71 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns on 18 total touches, and has now logged 213 yards from scrimmage and three scores on 49 total touches for the season.
With Irving's status in doubt for Week 6 against the San Francisco 49ers, White looks poised for another week with a significant workload. The 26-year-old is a must-start running back in Week 6 and has a good chance to maintain that status for as long as Irving is unable to play.
Rico Dowdle, RB, Panthers
Carolina Panthers running back Rico Dowdle had one of the best fantasy performances by any player this season in Week 5, racking up 206 rushing yards and a touchdown on 23 carries against the Dolphins while also catching three passes for 28 yards. Dowdle stepped up with Chuba Hubbard (calf) out, and Hubbard starts Week 6 "day-to-day" heading into Carolina's matchup against the Cowboys in Week 6.
Coach Dave Canales said that the team having "two good backs" is "a good problem," but it's hard to know exactly what the timeshare will look like when Hubbard is ready to return.
At least in the short term, Dowdle should get more work and could keep the lion's share of the work more long-term if he remains so effective, or if Hubbard needs more time to get back to full speed. It's definitely a situation to monitor moving forward, and Dowdle should be owned in all formats after his career day.
