Ian Thomas Unlikely to Benefit from Expanded Role in Week 5
Brock Bowers (knee) questionable and Michael Mayer (concussion) already ruled out. However, fantasy managers shouldn't expect that to translate into meaningful production. Despite logging 75 snaps this season, Thomas has yet to be targeted in the passing game, as his role primarily revolves around run blocking. Now in his eighth NFL season, Thomas has totaled just 119 career receptions and has never been a consistent receiving threat. Even with a potential increase in playing time, the Raiders are far more likely to lean on their wideouts and running backs in the passing attack. Thomas can safely be ignored in all fantasy formats heading into Week 5, as his floor and ceiling both remain extremely low.
