Rams Want to Get Davante Adams More Involved in Week 2
Davante Adams more often during Sunday's Week 2 contest against the Tennessee Titans. "Sean McVay was pleased with what the Rams accomplished in the passing game in Week 1, but getting Davante Adams a bit more involved will be a goal against [the] Titans," writes Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times. Adams finished his Rams debut with eight targets, four catches, and 51 yards. It was a fine showing for the veteran receiver, but certainly not on par with his full potential. Speaking with Klein, Adams said that he's trying to contribute however he can, and the number of targets he receives is not his concern. He noted that he thinks his and Puka Nacua's roles will vary week by week. If one player is having a big game, they'll command more attention from the defense, leaving the other receiver with opportunities to make plays happen in one-on-one coverage. As it stands, both players are strong WR2 options with WR1 upside.
