Max Muncy Could be Activated Soon

Los Angeles Dodgers third baseman Max Muncy (oblique) could come off the injured list next week, as he took batting practice and participated in defensive drills on the field on Wednesday, according to Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register. Muncy landed on the 10-day injured list on August 15 due to a right oblique strain, so he's eligible to return to action at any point; however, the Dodgers want to make sure he's fully ramped up, considering he missed most of June and July with a knee injury. Alex Freeland and Miguel Rojas have been seeing more playing time in Muncy's absence, and will likely lose the opportunities once Muncy returns. Muncy has been good at the plate overall after a slow start to the season, slashing .258/.389/.491 with 17 homeruns, 64 RBI, 44 runs scored, and four stolen bases.
