Felix Bautista has Surgery on Torn Rotator Cuff
Felix Bautista (shoulder) had successful surgery on Tuesday with Dr. Neal ElAttrache in Los Angeles to fix a torn rotator cuff and torn labrum in his right arm, according to Roch Kubatko of MASN. Bautista is expected to miss at least the next 12 months. The 30-year-old had already been ruled out for the rest of the 2025 season, and now he's going to miss all of the 2026 campaign most likely. It's a brutal blow for Bautista and the Orioles after the Dominican also missed all of the 2024 season due to injury. Given the nature of his shoulder injury, fantasy managers definitely should not expect Bautista to be the same dominant closer when he returns in 2027. Baltimore is going with a closer committee to close out a disappointing season, with Keegan Akin, Yennier Cano, Dietrich Enns and Corbin Martin all candidates for save opportunities.
