Zac Veen Goes Deep on Tuesday
Zac Veen went 1-for-4 with a home run, two RBI, and an additional run scored in a 12-2 win over Triple-A Sacramento. Veen has been productive all season a Triple-A, slashing .309/.377/.491 with six homers and 10 stolen bases in 259 plate appearances. He made his MLB debut in early April, but was unable to stick with the big league club as he was just 4-for-34 with 14 strikeouts during his brief stint. He has an interesting power and speed skillset, although the power is still a question, as his 109.2 MPH MaxEV doesn't signal a big ceiling in that department. But he has hit the ball consistently hard at Triple-A this season with a 49.4 percent hard-hit rate, and would have some appeal in deep and NL-only leagues if he were to return to the majors at some point.
