Chicago White Sox right-handed pitching prospect Mathias LaCombe made his Low-A debut on Friday evening, facing Carolina. In this contest, the right-hander logged three shutout innings of relief. He did not allow a hit. He served up just two walks and struck out four hitters. Earlier in the campaign, the No. 29-ranked prospect in the Chicago system made his professional debut in the Arizona Complex League. Through 35 2/3 innings in the ACL (nine starts, 12 appearances), LaCombe posted a strong 2.52 ERA with a 0.95 WHIP. During this stretch, he struck out 50 hitters while allowing only 11 walks. Dynasty managers should expect the 23-year-old to remain with Low-A throughout the remainder of the second half.--Andy SmithRead More News
