New York Mets infielder Ronny Mauricio is out of the starting lineup for Tuesday's tilt against the visiting Milwaukee Brewers at Citi Field. Mark Vientos is at third base and is hitting sixth, while Brett Baty will start at the keystone and bat in the nine-hole against Brewers right-hander Freddy Peralta. Mauricio, who is playing in just his second MLB season after debuting for the Mets in 2023, is likely going to continue to find consistent playing time in Queens now that Vientos is back from his hamstring injury. The 24-year-old Dominican infielder has also hit jut .224 (15-for-67) with three home runs, five RBI, seven runs scored and two stolen bases while striking out 22 times and walking five times in 20 games this year. It's possible that he could be sent back down to Triple-A Syracuse so that he can continue to play regularly.--Keith Hernandez
