Mackenzie Hughes is a Risky Option at TPC Toronto

Mackenzie Hughes has played mostly solid golf this season. He has finished in the top 10 three times, including a runner-up at the ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic. However, he has missed three cuts in his last five starts. This week's RBC Canadian Open is an event where Hughes has thrived in his career. He has made eight career starts at the event and has finished T28 or better four times, including two top 10s—this year's event shifts to TPC Toronto instead of the usual Hamilton Golf and Country Club. With a 7,400-yard layout, this year's venue rewards distance off the tee and strong iron play. He has struggled in both areas this year, ranking 95th in driving distance (300.3 yards) and 117th in strokes gained on approach (-0.118 strokes per round). His success at this event makes him an enticing option, but the new venue may present a different challenge. It's best to avoid his hefty $8,900 price tag on DraftKings this week.
