Corey Seager Takes Live Batting Practice
Corey Seager (hamstring) took live batting practice on Monday before the series opener at Globe Life Park against the Toronto Blue Jays, according to The Dallas Morning News' Evan Grant. However, Grant says that he thinks the Rangers will wait at least a day to activate him from the 10-day injured list. Seager also faced live pitching on Saturday and is expected to rejoin the big-league roster during the current homestand that runs through Sunday. A struggling and beat-up Rangers offense could surely use the 31-year-old's bat back in the lineup sooner than later. Seager has already been on the IL two times this year with hamstring issues, but hopefully he has put the injury in the rearview mirror. The two-time World Series MVP will return to a .300/.346/.520 lash line with six homers, 12 RBI and 15 runs and will be a must-start in fantasy lineups when he's back.
