Sal Stewart Tallies Four Hits on Thursday
Sal Stewart went 4-for-5 at the plate with a double and a walk during their contest against Double-A Rocket City. While Stewart saw his five-game hitting streak come to an end on Wednesday, the infielder bounced back in a big way on Thursday. Over his last 12 contests, the 21-year-old has posted an impressive .408/.431/.531 slash line with three doubles, one home run, seven RBI, and a 6:2 K:BB. Through his first 41 games at the Double-A level, the No. 70-ranked prospect in the sport has performed at an elite level, boasting a .331/.393/.478 slash line with 14 doubles, three home runs, and 10 stolen bases. Given his impressive start, Stewart should be in the mix to reach Triple-A in the coming months. If he continues to swing a hot bat, he could push for his MLB debut in the second half of the season.
