Bryce Miller Throws Bullpen on Tuesday
Bryce Miller (elbow) threw a bullpen session before the game in Chicago against the White Sox on Tuesday, according to Seattle Sports' Shannon Drayer. Miller landed on the 15-day injured list last Wednesday with inflammation in his right elbow, but it's a good sign he's already throwing a bullpen session. The 26-year-old received a cortisone shot last Tuesday, and the Mariners are optimistic that he'll be ready to return from the IL when he's first eligible next Tuesday. The 26-year-old's elbow injury could help explain his disappointing 5.22 ERA and 1.54 WHIP in his first eight starts covering 39 2/3 innings this year. With Miller, Logan Gilbert (elbow) and George Kirby (shoulder) all currently sidelined, right-hander Logan Evans is currently in Seattle's rotation. Miller should be stashed in all fantasy leagues while he recovers.
