The Pirates recently called up top pitching prospect Thomas Harrington on Monday, and he struggled in his MLB debut, allowing six runs on seven hits and four walks with two strikeouts. Tampa Bay Rays infielder Brandon Lowe is off to a hot start, slashing .292/.346/.542 with two homers and six RBI over 26 plate appearances. Atlanta Braves right-hander Reynaldo Lopez will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his right shoulder and will be out for a while.
