As Many as Three NFL Teams Could Have Interest in Hiring Bill Belichick
Long-time NFL insider Josina Anderson reports that "at least two" NFL teams are expected to have interest in talking to current University of North Carolina head coach Bill Belichick, with "a third team (that) could also enter the mix." Anderson also reports that Belichick's "own desires and preferences regarding workplace dynamics" played more of a part in why he did not wind up with an NFL job for the 2025 season than has previously been discussed. Belichick spent 24 seasons as the head coach of the New England Patriots, winning 68.7% of his regular-season games and six Super Bowl rings. In his first season at the helm for North Carolina, Belichick's Tar Heels have a 4-7 record. Belichick's NFL resume obviously speaks for itself, but it's still fair to wonder if he hasn't lost a step and is still capable of leading an NFL franchise at 73 years old.
