Carolina Hurricanes center Jordan Staal (lower body) is considered doubtful for Wednesday's contest against the Washington Capitals. Head coach Rod Brind'Amour noted that this move is precautionary. Fantasy managers should monitor his status leading up to their next game on Friday evening against the Detroit Red Wings. He is currently riding a six-game scoreless streak. During this skid, Staal has logged nine hits, two blocks, and held a -2 rating. Through 71 total contests this season, the 36-year-old has found the back of the net has found the back of the net 12 times and added 21 helpers. Staal has added 127 hits with 99 shots on goal.
