MLB DFS: DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (9/2/24) - Today's Top Lineups

Seiya Suzuki - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB Injury News

The top MLB DFS daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel, DraftKings on September 2, 2024. Mike Marteny's MLB DFS sleepers picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

We have a busy Labor Day with 11 games going on today. It's almost a perfect split with six games taking place in the evening. Those are the ones that we will concentrate on.

This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on Monday, September 2, 2024, with the slate starting at 6:40 p.m. EDT. The lineup picks will range from some elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. Monitoring injury news and today's MLB starting lineups is also essential. Good luck, RotoBallers!

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Gerrit Cole at TEX ($9K DraftKings; $10K FanDuel)

The Yankees still aren't pushing Cole, so we shouldn't expect them to do so here, either. However, Cole still picked up 25.2 DraftKings points on the Rangers in the much more hitter-friendly Yankee Stadium about a month ago. Cole will likely only go about six innings, but he can do a lot of damage in six innings. He has 27 strikeouts over 22 1/3 innings in his last four starts.

Osvaldo Bido vs. SEA ($8.6K DraftKings; $9K FanDuel)

The Mariners are still striking out at a healthy 25.8% clip against RHP in the last month. Their metrics are in the middle of the pack, but the elevated strikeout rate should mitigate the damage. Bido has either five or six strikeouts in each of his last seven games. We know exactly what we're going to get out of him.

Simeon Woods Richardson at TB ($6.5K DraftKings; $7.9K FanDuel)

The Rays are striking out at a 26.6% rate in the last month against RHP and are in the bottom five with a .134 ISO and 82 wRC. This looks like a good rebound spot for Richardson if you can't stomach a minimum-priced Ty Madden on DK.

Also consider: Logan Gilbert at OAK, Joe Musgrove vs. DET, Ty Madden at SD

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Oneil Cruz – SS, PIT vs. Jameson Taillon ($5.5K DK; $3.3K FD)

Cruz has caught fire lately, hitting .390 with a homer, six RBI, five runs scored, and five steals in the last 10 games. The Pirates have turned him loose on the bases, which is great for his DFS value. Jameson Taillon has allowed 17 runs over 22 2/3 innings in his last four starts. One of those starts was against the Pirates. Kick him when he's down!

Jazz Chisholm Jr. – 3B, NYY vs. Jack Leiter ($5.2K DK; $3.4K FD)

Since returning from the IL on August 23, Chisholm has been hitting .344 with five extra-base hits, three RBIs, seven runs scored, and three steals in only 34 plate appearances. Jack Leiter will be a good pitcher at some point, but he has a 12.83 ERA in four starts this year. The Yankees are going to eat him alive.

Zach McKinstry – 2B, DET vs. Joe Musgrove ($2.9K DK; $2.5K FD)

I don't know why pitchers even pitch to him anymore. McKinstry is hitting a ridiculous .464 (with a 1.159 OPS) over the last 10 games. He even stole four bases at that time. McKinstry is doing everything for the lowly Tigers right now, and he's still dirt cheap.

Also consider: Francisco Lindor, Ryan Jeffers, Anthony Rizzo

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Jarren Duran – OF, BOS vs. Luis Severino ($6.2K DK; $4.1K FD)

Duran has four homers in his last eight games. Luis Severino has struggled lately. Since July 1, his 4.91 ERA is nearly a run higher than his season total with 10 homers allowed in 10 games. He'll still notch some strikeouts, but he has allowed four or more runs in four of his last six starts. A red-hot Duran against Severino's struggles is worth the price.

Seiya Suzuki – OF, CHC vs. Jared Jones ($4.9K DK; $3.4K FD)

Suzuki has seven multi-hit games in his last 11 tries. He has three homers and eight RBI in his span while sporting a .396 average. He has even stolen a couple of bags to increase his DFS appeal even more. Jones has a 5.63 ERA in three starts against the Cubs this year, and that was before Suzuki's recent hot streak.

Lawrence Butler – OF, OAK vs. Logan Gilbert ($3.7K DK; $3K FD)

I don't care if Butler were facing Cy Young himself, I would still use him at this price. Butler is hitting .442 with a staggering seven homers and 13 RBI in the last 10 games. On top of that, he has stolen three bases and scored 12 runs from atop the A's lineup. He is riding an 11-game hitting streak, including 10 hits in the last four games. You can't get much hotter than that.

Also consider: Aaron Judge, Giancarlo Stanton, Jackson Merrill

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

1. Yankees vs. Mark Leiter

  • Favorite Plays: Aaron Judge, Jazz Chisholm Jr., Giancarlo Stanton, Anthony Rizzo, Juan Soto

2. Cubs vs. Jared Jones

3. Pirates vs. Jameson Taillon
