Drake London Background and Analytical Profile
The Atlanta Falcons selected London with the eighth overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. It’s certainly been a less-than-ideal start to London’s career after finishing as the PPR WR31 and WR37 in his first two years. It’s not all his fault as Atlanta has been plagued by terrible quarterback play. Any receiver would struggle to consistently produce when Desmond Ridder and Marcus Mariota are throwing them passes.
Despite poor quarterback play, London has shown that he has the talent to become a team’s true WR1.

The youngster’s analytical profile was impressive after his 2022 rookie season. Per Fantasy Points Data suite, London had a strong Targets Per Route Run (TPRR) of 29%, a solid 31.5% First Read Percentage (1READ%), and a 27.7% Target Share. He was very clearly a priority in Atlanta’s offense and showed he could draw targets at a high rate.
2023 was a step backward in terms of the analytics. London’s 1READ% went down to 28.6%, his TPRR fell to 24%, and his Target Share fell to 22%. He also fell below the 2.0 mark in Yards Per Route Run (YPRR). However, these all can easily be explained given Ridder’s struggles along with the questionable play-calling/usage from former head coach Arthur Smith.
What is Drake London Worth in Dynasty Fantasy Football Leagues?
London is currently ranked as the WR14 in our up-to-date dynasty rankings. This feels right given the quarterback upgrade he is getting with Kirk Cousins' arrival in Atlanta. With a strong 2024 season, London will climb further up these rankings potentially cracking the top five.
Unfortunately, the time to buy him cheap has passed. Ranked as low as WR 20 on KeepTradeCut (KTC) back in January, London now sits as the WR10. KTC estimates his value is equivalent to an early 2024 first-round rookie pick. As much as there is to like about London, that feels steep considering he has yet to crack 1,000 yards or score more than four touchdowns in a season. Savvy dynasty players might see this as an opportunity to potentially profit.
Short of getting a top-four pick or more, there is really no reason to sell London right now. He’s finally got a quarterback and is primed for his best year to date. Managers who have held onto him obviously still believe in the talent and will not sell cheap. If you want him on your roster, be prepared to pay a heavy premium.
Drake London 2024 Fantasy Football Outlook
London is getting a massive quarterback upgrade with Cousins signing a four-year, $180 million contract. Among quarterbacks with 169 dropbacks, Cousins ranked first in Pro Football Focus’s Adjusted Completion Percentage last year. The aforementioned Desmond Ridder finished just 32nd. We really can’t overstate the kind of upgrade London is getting here and what that means for his fantasy football prospects.
New offensive coordinator Zac Robinson comes from the Sean McVay coaching tree. This is an offense that traditionally consolidates targets and hyper-targets its top receiving options. These all bode well for London's 2024 season. He does face competition from Kyle Pitts, but Cousins has previously shown an ability to support multiple pass-catchers in this system while playing in Minnesota. There will be plenty of targets to go around.
With a competent play-caller and quarterback, London can easily reach a 25% or greater target share and have a massive season. The stars are aligning for the soon-to-be 23-year-old to have a career year. Expect to see him set career highs across the board.
With Cousins at quarterback, London can easily produce a top-12 fantasy finish with upside for plenty more.
