CBB DFS: DraftKings Daily Fantasy College Basketball Picks (Evening Slate) - Today's Top Lineups (1/6/24)

Bruce Thornton- CBB DFS Picks, NCAA Daily College Fantasy Basketball

Today's DraftKings CBB DFS lineup picks for 1/6/24 (evening slate). Mike's daily fantasy college basketball DraftKings sleepers to build NCAA DFS lineups.

Our massive Saturday of hoops is almost over! We end with a strong nine-game night slate. This is what DFS tilting is all about! Three big slates spanning every waking hour. I'm with you through all of it. Let's end the night right!

We have LSU at A&M to take on the Aggies. The only non-power tilt of the day between Colorado State and Utah State in Logan lands on this slate. This one is heavy on the Big 12 Texas Tech taking on Texas in Austin. We have two future Big 12 teams in Utah and Arizona tangling in Tucson. Cincinnati heads to BYU. The Big Ten offers up Ohio State and Indiana tonight. We have some good Pac-12 tilts with Colorado in Tempe to take on the Sun Devils. Cal heads to UCLA and Oregon heads to Pullman to close this out.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 1/6/24, starting at 8 PM Eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

Today's DraftKings Guards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks

Jaylon Tyson, California ($8,500)

Tyson has three straight games over 40 DraftKings points and 20 actual points. All of them are conference tilts, so he has been doing it against good opponents. Tyson gets it done because he's great at crashing the boards and is tenacious on the defensive end. His floor is high because of the peripherals. This is a tougher matchup against UCLA, but Tyson is playing as well as anyone right now.

Bruce Thornton, Ohio State ($7,600)

Thornton has played all but two minutes over the last two games and put up 73.25 DraftKings points in those games. Indiana just got run off the court by the Cornhuskers earlier this week. I expect more resistance here, but Thornton is on one of his heaters again. When he's hot, he can produce with the best of them.

Kymany Houinsou, Washington State ($5,300)

There's not a ton to like in the mid-range as far as guards go tonight. Houinsou plays a lot of minutes for the price, but his limited role on offense usually leaves us wanting more. He's not a great shooter but he is good at everything else. He puts up really good peripheral numbers thanks to the minutes he plays. Houinsou is a solid value play but lacks significant upside.

Trae Hannibal, LSU ($4,500)

Hannibal is relegated to a bench role this year, but he has done well in that role. He has become a more efficient shooter and is active on both ends of the court. LSU has quietly gone to a guard-oriented team, which means Hannibal gets plenty of chances in his 20 minutes on the court.

Also consider:  KJ Simpson, Colorado ($8,900); Isaiah Stevens, Colorado State ($8,000); Jalen Cook, LSU ($7,500); Nique Clifford, Colorado State ($7,400); Jordan Wright, LSU ($6,800); Pelle Larsson, Arizona ($6,600); Deivon Smith, Utah ($5,500); KJ Lewis, Arizona ($5,000); Jalen Celestine, California

Today's DraftKings Forwards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks

Kwame Evans Jr., Oregon ($8,300)

The freshman has taken over on the inside for Oregon and might not cede the job to N'Faly Dante when he comes back. Evans plays in a way that translates to success against everyone. Even against UCLA where he didn't get many shots, Evans still impacted the game with eight rebounds, three blocks, and a steal. This is a good matchup for Evans here. We get to see two of the Pac-12's best freshmen go at it tonight and I can't wait!

Adem Bona, UCLA ($7,700)

Bona started slowly this season, but he is the force that everyone thought he would be now. Bona missed a double-double by one rebound against Stanford. He's an efficient scorer on offense and is starting to become more aggressive in looking for shots. Rebounding was never the issue with Bona, but he's scoring more and has been an elite rim protector (12 blocks in three games) in conference games so far. We're seeing the ascension of a star here.

Andersson Garcia, Texas A&M ($6,300)

Garcia started his first two games of his college career over the last two games and produced 75.75 DraftKings points in 67 minutes. He was always an elite rebounder off the bench, but he showed good skills getting to the line and better passing ability than advertised. The 31 rebounds won't be sustainable against good teams, but if Garcia continues to start at this price, he's a steal. He'll hit value in rebounds alone!

Jamille Reynolds, Cincinnati ($5,000)

Reynolds has played good minutes over the last three games and has seen his role expand some. He has done well with the shots he gets in the offense and has piled up 21 rebounds in 53 minutes over the last three games. Reynolds doesn't offer much outside of the above-average rebounding skills, but Cincinnati has been looking for production up front. Reynolds could see more playing time thanks to his last couple of weeks.

Also consider:  Branden Carlson, Utah ($8,600); Fardaws Aimaq, California ($8,200); Viktor Lakhin, Cincinnati ($7,300); Oscar Cluff, Washington State ($6,100); Mackenzie Mgbako, Indiana ($5,900); Alonzo Gaffney, Arizona State ($5,300); Atiki Ally Atiki, BYU ($4,900);
