DraftKings CFB DFS Lineup Picks: Daily College Fantasy Football (12/28/23)

Mike's DraftKings daily fantasy college football lineup picks for Thursday (12/28/23). His CFB DFS lineup picks and DFS sleepers will help you win.

We are back down to three games today as DraftKings chopped off the Fenway Bowl in Boston since they are starting before noon Eastern. It's not unusual, but it sure is annoying. We still have three really good games to focus on though. That's what we get in bowl season.

We begin in Yankee Stadium with the Pinstripe Bowl between Rutgers and Miami. Next up is the freaking Pop Tarts Bowl (isn't this a little out of hand? Pop Tarts? What's next, the Tidy Bowl?) between North Carolina State and Kansas State. We end in San Antonio for the Alamo Bowl between Arizona and Oklahoma.

In this article, I will provide you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for DraftKings on 12/28/23, locking at 2:15 PM Eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions for players at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Quarterbacks

Noah Fifita, Arizona ($7,400)

Fifita capped off a great freshman (regular) season with a school-record 527 passing yards in the Territory Cup. Oklahoma ended the regular season by giving up 45 points to a TCU offense that had struggled for much of the year. You know where this is going, and so do I. Fifita could be in for a monster game here.

Jacurri Brown, Miami (FL) ($6,400)

The last time that we saw Brown, he logged 462 total yards for the Hurricanes in 2022 before giving the job back to Tyler Van Dyke. Brown provides mobility (223 of those yards were on the ground), but the way to attack Rutgers is through the air. Can he do it? For this price, I'll find out!

Also consider: Jackson Arnold, Oklahoma ($7,300); Brennan Armstrong, North Carolina State ($7,100); Gavin Wimsatt, Rutgers ($6,200)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Running Backs

Gavin Sawchuk, Oklahoma ($6,000)

Sawchuk closed the season with four consecutive 100-yard games after he took the starting job in the Oklahoma State game. Sawchuk scored five touchdowns in that span as well. It's going to be tough sledding against Arizona, but Sawchuk is going to get fed while Oklahoma breaks in a new quarterback. The touches will be there.

Michael Wiley, Arizona ($5,500)

Jonah Coleman still gets a lot of touches, but Wiley is the guy dancing in the end zone. He has scored five touchdowns in the last two games and racked up 17.3 extra points just on receptions and yards. Wiley carries risk with only about 10 touches per game, but he'll find room against Oklahoma's struggling defense.

Also consider: DJ Giddens, Kansas State ($6,700); Kyle Monangai, Rutgers ($5,400); Ajay Allen, Miami (FL) ($5,000);

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Wide Receivers

Tetairoa McMillan, Arizona ($7,500)

McMillan could be priced in five figures and I would still use him. He is the first and second option in most of Noah Fifita's reads because the guy catches everything. McMillan scrambled the Arizona State secondary for 266 yards in the Territory Cup and didn't have fewer than 80 receiving yards in any of the last five, topping 100 in each of the last three. Fifita and McMillan both got better as the season went on. A month of uninterrupted practice is only going to make them better. Both are in for monster games here.

Kevin Concepcion, North Carolina State ($7,000)

This is another slate where there is plenty of value elsewhere to pay up for the two top receivers and I think we need to. Concepcion scored four touchdowns in the last two games and has at least five carries in each of the last four games. They aren't just token touches either. Concepcion ran for 208 yards on 31 carries. That's almost starting running back work on top of being the leading receiver. No one else can match that workload.

Trent Pennix, North Carolina State ($3,800)

Pennix declared for the draft, but he is still playing in the bowl game. This is a tough draft board to try to crack. Pennix has had a couple of big games for the Pack in his career. I feel like Brennan Armstrong will try to help him out here.

Also consider: Xavier Restrepo, Miami (FL) ($6,600); Drake Stoops, Oklahoma ($6,300); Nic Anderson, Oklahoma ($5,800); Jayce Brown, Kansas State ($4,400); Tanner McLachlan, Arizona ($4,200)

DraftKings CFB Stacks:

Arizona

Allowing 45 to TCU is a Titanic embarrassment. Maybe the Oklahoma defense got better, but probably not. Fifita and McMillan are going to have monster days. I don't mind using both Jonah Coleman and Michael Wiley because of the ways they are used in this offense. You can even add in Jacob Cowing or Tanner McLachlan if you want. The yardage and likely the points will be there for the taking.

North Carolina State

The dirty little secret in Manhattan is that Kansas State's defense isn't as good as last year. They were in the middle of the pack against the rush and the pass. Armstrong and Concepcion are locks in any format. Kendrick Raphael has carved out a pretty good role at a reasonable price and Pennix is a story just waiting for a happy ending.

Also consider: Miami (FL), Oklahoma
