ANALYSIS: Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. has been a league winner as a mid-round fantasy football draft pick. The second-year running back has surprised everyone this season. He is the RB5 for the year, averaging 13 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. More importantly, Robinson has been a critical part of Washington’s offense.
The former Alabama star has 153 rushing attempts for 611 yards and five touchdowns. Furthermore, the second-year running back has 29 receptions for 326 receiving yards and three touchdowns this season. Many thought Antonio Gibson would be the team’s primary pass-catching running back. Yet. Robinson has had a career year in the passing game.
Last week, the second-year running back had only 7.4 fantasy points against the Dallas Cowboys in a blowout loss for the Commanders. However, he averaged 17.5 fantasy points per game over the previous three weeks, scoring at least 11.2 in every contest.
Unfortunately, Robinson faces the Miami Dolphins tomorrow. Miami has held running back to 16 fantasy points per game, the ninth-fewest in the NFL this year. Furthermore, they haven't given up a rushing touchdown to running backs since Week 7. Robinson will have a poor fantasy performance if this game becomes a blowout.
