Jaylen Waddle's fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 12 (2023). Our advice on whether you should start or sit Jaylen Waddle for fantasy lineups.
BALLER MOVE: Start in 10+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR2
ANALYSIS: Last week with the Miami Dolphins coming off of a bye, wide receiver Jaylen Waddle saw eight targets, catching four of those for 55 yards against the Raiders. It was the fourth time in his last five games that he's had at least 50 receiving yards.
Waddle has been playing through various ailments this season, but he was expected to be at his healthiest point following the bye. Considering he played a season-high 83% of the Dolphins' offensive snaps, it's fair to say that that expectation was met.
Still, Waddle's not playing like he did in 2022. He led the NFL in yards per reception with 18.1 last season but is down to 13.1 this year. Part of that is just that Tyreek Hill is playing out of his mind on the other side of the field, which has cut into Waddle's ceiling.
This week, the Dolphins face a tough Jets pass defense. All of this adds up to Waddle still being easily worth starting in most fantasy formats, but fantasy managers should temper expectations just a bit. Consider Waddle a low-end WR2 play for this Black Friday matchup with New York.
